S1E1 - The Runaway 1976-08-05

Raj is all set to go to a party with Dwayne and Rerun but at the last minute Mama breaks the news that he has to babysit Dee while she goes out to work. This leads Raj to hire a babysitter but by the time he returns from the party, the babysitter has fallen asleep and Dee is no where to be found.

S1E2 - The Birthday Present 1976-08-12

Trying to get enough money to buy Mama a birthday present is not as easy as it sounds for Raj. This leads him to some dice playing but Mama breaks it up and confiscates the money he won. In a last attempt, Raj, Rerun and Dwayne try to walk out of the store with a blouse after writing an IOU.

S1E3 - When Daddy Comes Marching Home 1976-08-19

Mamas shady ex-husband, Bill re-enters her life and shes sure hes come around to squeeze some money out of her. Mamas suspicions are right but Raj is on to his fathers game and finds his $200 dollars for writing school to be in danger of being snatched.

S1E4 - My Three Tons 1976-08-26

After seeing a TV show, Rerun becomes obsessed with wanting to join a dance group, The Rockets. Miraculously, at the audition, hes accepted but Dwayne soon discovers, Rerun wasnt accepted because he could dance, but because hes overweight.

S1E5 - Saturday's Hero 1976-11-13

Rerun is given the chance to join the floundering football team and becomes and instant hero. This leads to a swelled head and he begins to give Raj and Dwayne the cold shoulder, going so far as to give his two extra Gladys Knight tickets to two of his "new" friends instead of Raj and Dwayne, like he promised.

S1E6 - The Burger Queen 1976-11-20

Rerun has his heart set on getting the role in a hamburger commercial. However, once down at the audition the producers find Dee to be better suited despite the fact that she cant stand the taste of them. An even bigger problem arises when Mamas permission is needed for her to do the commercial, but shes in Phoenix.

S1E7 - Speak for Yourself, Dwayne 1976-11-27

Dwayne has his eye on a new girl, Nancy but hes too shy to talk to her, so he gets Raj too. However, that turns into a mistake for Dwayne because this leads to Raj falling for Nancy. Raj is left with guilt and one angry friend.

S1E8 - Shirley's Date 1976-12-04

Raj has sold a kids story to a childrens magazine and to celebrate, throws a party. However, Shirley is reluctant to come because she doesnt want to show up without a date. This leads Raj and Rerun to take steps to get her a date. Raj goes so far as to get her one through an escort service and Rerun cons his brother into asking her.

S1E9 - Christmas 1976-12-11

With Mama planning to work on Christmas, Raj and Dee agree to have Christmas dinner at Bills apartment. However, Mama is able to get out of working at the last minute and soon discovers that the kids have plans and she finds herself facing a lonesome Christmas.

S1E10 - Puppy Love 1976-12-30

Raj is tutoring Patrice Williams in exchange for one of the puppies that her dog, Susie is soon to have. However, confusion erupts in the Thomas household, when Dee overhears a conversation between Raj, Dwayne and Rerun which leads her to believe Raj has gotten a girl pregnant.

S1E11 - The Maid Did It 1977-01-06

Mama is fired from her job as a maid for the Turner household after shes accused of stealing Mrs. Turners diamond ring. However, Raj sets out to clear Mama and quickly discovers Mr. Turner may be a more likely suspect in the theft.

S1E12 - The Incomplete Shakespeare 1977-01-13

Raj writes a story for a new TV show, Central Avenue and cant wait to find out if the producers will buy it. However, Raj is in for a shock on the night the show premieres. It seems the producers have stolen his story and he goes straight down to their offices prepared to sue.

S1E13 - The Hospital Stay 1977-01-20

Raj lands in the hospital and is afraid to face impending surgery. Meanwhile, his roommate is a grouchy ex-baseball player whom Dee befriends and learns that he has kept up a bitter feud between himself and his daughter all because she married a white man.

Raj has become a practical joker and delights in playing tricks on his teacher, Miss Collins. However, when he goes overboard, he finds himself suspended from school and to avoid getting Mama involved in the situation, he turns to his father, who quickly discovers the joys of parenting.

S1E15 - The Firing Squad 1977-02-10

When the bank manager arrives at Robs Place to discuss his application for a loan, Shirley insults him which ends with Rob firing her. This leads Raj, Dwayne and Rerun to help Shirley find a new job even though she has very few skills.

S1E16 - The Boarder 1977-02-17

Needing extra money, Mama agrees to take on a boarder who will stay in Dees room while she reluctantly agrees to share a room with Mama. However, everyone is in for a surprise when Bill asks to take the room and even more surprising, Mama agrees to let him move in.

S1E17 - Dwayne's Dilemma 1977-02-24

Raj has been dying for a date with a girl but soon finds that there is a hitch, in order to go out with her, he needs to find a date for her cousin, Brenda. Dwayne agrees but soon finds himself to be a corner in a love triangle, when Brendas pushy ex-boyfriend threatens his well-being if he continues to see her.

S1E18 - The Tickets 1977-03-03

Mama has two tickets to a Stevie Wonder concert and she gives them to Raj. However, Raj now has one tough decision to make, to take Dwayne or Rerun to the concert. Meanwhile, Mama makes a decision on a boarder, who introduces his girlfriend to the family.

S1E19 - What's Wrong With Raj? 1977-03-10

After a school lecture about hypertension, Raj begins spending more and more time down at the free clinic. This leads Dee to sneak a peek at his diary to see if she can find a clue to ""whats wrong with Raj.""

S1E20 - Nice Guys Finish Last 1977-03-24

Dee gets a surprise when she gets a phone call from her prison pen pal, Judy Crane, who is getting out of jail and needs a place to stay. Dee talks Mama into allowing Judy to stay with them unknown to all of them that Judy is really on the run after escaping.

S1E21 - From Here to Maternity 1977-03-31

Shirley is all excited when she gets a call from her sister, Norma whos coming to town for a visit. However, Shirley is in for a big surprise when she discovers Norma is six months pregnant and Norma is in for an even bigger surprise when she gets a phone call from her fiancee telling her its over.

S2E2 - It's All in Your Head 1977-09-29

A reluctant friend of Dees is having problems at home and is too shy to talk to the school counselor, so Dee goes in her place but this leads the counselor to believe that Dee is the one with the problems.

S2E3 - Trial and Error 1977-10-06

Raj has just gotten a new delivery bike for his job at the supermarket but just as hes leaving Robs Place he becomes involved in a car accident that totals his new bike and leads to a lawsuit.

S2E4 - Raj Goes to Press 1977-10-13

When most of his articles are rejected from being in the school newspaper, an outraged, Raj decides to begin an underground newspaper with Rerun and Dwayne helping him. However, when school officials discover what hes doing, Raj is threatened with expulsion.

S2E5 - Nothing Personal 1977-10-20

Shirley applies for a job as a secretary at a balloon company and quickly finds herself coming face to face with racial discrimination when the president hires both her, who has a lack of qualifications and another woman who just happens to be white and has plenty of secretarial skills.

S2E6 - If I'm Elected 1977-10-27

Dwaynes father is running for city councilman and has a great deal of support from the community including a man, Ted, whos been a friend of the family for years. However, Dwayne is infuriated when his dad unexpectedly fires Ted.

S2E7 - The Play's the Big Thing 1977-11-03

Raj has written a play and its become a school production. However, he fears the play will be ruined after he gives the lead role to Rerun.

S2E8 - Give Me Odds 1977-11-10

Dwayne is in a lucky streak with the system he uses to make bets. This leads Rerun to pass along Dwaynes tips to his brother-in-law, Ike, who bets $500 on a football game. Its only after hes made the bet that everyone discovers just what kind of system Dwayne uses.

S2E9 - Bill Gets Married 1977-11-17

Bill has become serious with his latest girlfriend and announces that they plan on getting married. Almost everyone is happy for the couple including Mama who even lets them have the ceremony in her house. However, its Dee who refuses to accept their marriage and refuses to be the flowergirl in the wedding.

S2E10 - Mama, the School Girl 1977-11-24

Mama begins taking courses at Rajs school and even gets his teacher, Miss Collins. A fellow classmate takes an instant liking to Mama and she falls head over heels for him, unknown to her hes only using her to write his term paper for him.

S2E11 - One Strike and You're Out 1977-12-08

Rerun being fired from the supermarket is the last straw for Raj who rallies the rest of the workers to take some action against their boss Mr. Pronson. However, when the staff goes on strike, Raj finds himself in a jam, since Mama has lost her job and the family now has no source of income.

S2E12 - The Testimonial 1977-12-15

Miss Collins is being honored for 25 years of teaching and this prompts Raj to play a trick on her after she gives him detention for being tardy. However, he soon finds his trick is totally inappropriate and sets out to right his wrong.

S2E13 - Black and White Blues 1977-12-22

While watching a football game at Rajs house, the black and white set goes beserk and Rerun suggests that they ""borrow"" the new color TV set that is being offered as a prize at a church raffle. However, once they get it to Rajs house, Rerun and Dwayne accidentally drop it.

S2E14 - Going, Going, Gong 1978-01-05

Raj has become the manager of a kids song and dance group and believes that theyre so good that they may have a chance to get on The Gong Show. However, once at tryouts, Raj discovers he has some competition, from Rerun.

S2E15 - Dee's First Date 1978-01-21

Dees is going out on her first date with a boy whos sister Raj has made into the object of his affection. His plan is to buddy up to Dees boyfriend to get close to his sister. However, he quickly finds he has another thing coming.

S2E16 - Doobie or Not Doobie (1) 1978-01-28

The Doobie Brothers are set to put on a concert at the guys high school and they leave Rerun to get the tickets. However, by the time Rerun gets to the ticket booth, theyre sold out. Later, two shady characters offer Rerun free tickets if he just tape records the concert. It is only later that Rerun learns that they are bootleggers and they threaten Rerun, Raj and Dwayne if they dont comply.

S2E17 - Doobie or Not Doobie (2) 1978-02-04

The bootleggers force the guys into tape recording the concert but while everyone is jumping around, the tape recorder falls out from under Reruns coat and right in full view of the Doobie Brothers. After some explanations, the guys and the Doobie Brothers set up a trap to catch the bootleggers.

S2E18 - Rerun Sees the Light 1978-02-11

Rerun encounters a strange woman on the street who goes by the name of Love-is-Life and she lures him into attending one of her cult gatherings. Rerun enjoys his new found faith and how it makes him feel but Dwayne and Raj are a bit leery about a group that worships a head of lettuce.

S2E19 - Raj and the Older Woman 1978-02-18

When Raj goes down to a photographer to get his yearbook picture taken, he is instantly smitten with a beautiful model. Raj lies about his age and says hes 21 and that hes a movie star and the girl is instantly taken by him. That is until, she learns the truth.

S2E20 - Diplomatic Immunity 1978-02-25

Rerun borrows a car so the guys can get to a Lakers game but after the game Rerun becomes the victim of a hit and run driver. Dee surprises everyone by coming forward with news that she was a witness and saw the driver, which turns out to be the son of a foreign diplomat.

S2E21 - Shirley is a Mother 1978-04-13

With Mama out of town, Raj gets Shirley to babysit Dee who gets Shirley thinking about her past. Meanwhile, Raj and Reruns graduation is approaching but right at the last minute Rerun gets himself in trouble by cheating on a final exam which prompts Shirley to give him some guidance.

S2E22 - The Apartment 1978-05-11

On graduation day, Raj gives a speech riddled with hints to Mama about his plans on moving in to an apartment with Rerun but after some conversation, Mama finally agrees to let him move out. However, Rerun and Raj quickly find themselves with little privacy with Mama constantly coming over.

S3E1 - Disco Dollar Disaster 1978-09-21

A dance contest has Rerun scrambling to get enough money for the entrance fee and ends up having people buying shares in his prospective winnings. However, he finds himself facing stiff competition from a notorious disco dancer and the prospect of two thugs breaking his hands if he doesnt win.

S3E2 - Shirley's Boyfriend 1978-09-28

Raj, Rerun and Dwayne learn how lonely Shirleys life is and decide that the best thing for her is a blind date with Ed Roberts. Things start getting serious between Shirley and Ed but then Dee learns that Ed is married.

S3E3 - Basketball Brain 1978-10-12

Raj is coerced into tutoring a basketball star and gets plenty of encouragement thanks to a generous salary for doing so. However, Raj finds himself in trouble with tutoring Dee and Dwayne as well, he has little time to do his own studying.

S3E4 - The Creep Detective 1978-11-02

Rerun and Raj are arrested after Rerun unknowingly stores stolen goods. While, Dee and Earl combine their efforts to save the guys.

S3E5 - Shirley's Cookies 1978-11-09

Shirley brings some homemade cookies into Robs Place as a gift for Rerun and the guys and they are so taken with how good they are that they suggest that she try selling them at Robs. She decides to try it but soon finds that her small business venture has attracted the likes of a con man who talks her into a long-term contract that is binding.

S3E6 - The Landlady 1978-11-16

The rent is due for Raj and Reruns apartment but they are short since Raj hasnt been able to find a job. When the landlady stops by to collect the rent she takes Raj aside and tells him not to worry and then proceeds to give Raj signals that convince him that shes interested in him romantically. Raj soon begins acting more mature since shes in her 30s and hes 19.

S3E7 - Charge 1978-11-23

Rerun gets a credit card and goes on a spending spree, buying everything in sight from food processors to new furniture. He soon applies for more credit cards and quickly finds himself sinking into debt but he continues to spend totally refurnishing the apartment. He takes out a loan, but soon finds a repo man on his doorstep.

S3E8 - Raj Moves Out 1978-11-30

Rajs study date with an attractive girl, Jean, goes awry thanks to Reruns annoying presence. Thus, its no surprise when Raj jumps at the chance to move in with Jean to get away from Rerun. However, Dee makes a shocking discovery, Jean as a distinct motive for the roommate proposal.

S3E9 - No Clothes Make the Man 1978-12-14

Raj needs a job and gets one selling meat, but when he learns the company is a fraud and has been busted by the FBI, he begins searching for another one. He finally finds one that pays $35 an hour but involves him posing nude for an art class.

S3E10 - Positive Identification 1978-12-21

The Christmas spirit has touched everyone except for a burglar who has just robbed Rerun and Rajs apartment. As hes getting away, Raj and Rerun inadvertantly help him, leaving them with only a glimpse. Thus, when theyre asked to pick the robber out of a line-up, Raj and Rerun just arent positive if they identified the right guy.

S3E11 - Making Out 1979-01-11

Raj and Rerun each have a girls, April and Cindy, in their lives and finding free time to spend alone in the apartment is a challenge. Soon, it becomes a bet to see how far each one can go with each girl. Rerun ends up striking out with both of them but Raj, hits pay dirt with April, who happens to be the girl Rerun has his heart set on.

S3E12 - Dee, the Cheerleader 1979-01-25

Dee has her heart set on joining the cheerleading squad and while preparing she also helps out her friend Julie who also want to be on the squad. With Dee being better than her, Julie doesnt think she has a chance, however, everyone is in for a shock when Julie is picked and Dee isnt.

S3E13 - A Present for Dee 1979-02-09

Dees 14th birthday has Raj and the gang preparing a surprise birthday party. Dee quickly gets word of it but is not without a surprise thanks to Little Earls birthday gift. The atrocious necklace he gave her turns out to be stolen and Dee is accused of shoplifting when she tries to exchange it.

S3E14 - Dwayne's Dream 1979-02-16

Dwayne gets a new job in concessions at ball games and the owner wants him to handle all of the games all over town. Dwayne quickly realizes the job could turn into a full time employment and considers quitting school. However, he has serious doubts thanks to a talk from Raj and Rerun. This all leads to Dwayne having a crazy dream about the future.

S3E15 - Shirley's Fired 1979-02-23

Shirley has decided to ask Rob for a raise and he is shocked but he also has a shock for her, hes decided to hire an additional waitress, Liz. However, her forever clumsiness gets on Shirleys nerves so much that she quits. Later, Shirley witnesses Liz skimming the till.

S3E16 - Food Poisoning 1979-03-02

Rerun has one of Robs hamburgers and suddenly becomes ill. He is taken to the hospital and its assumed that he has food poisoning. Suddenly, Rob finds himself with no business since no one wants to take a chance eating his food. However, Rob has bigger problems on his hands when a greedy Rerun decides to sue Robs place for $100,000.

S3E17 - The Eviction 1979-03-09

Rerun and Raj have gotten a new landlord and he has been totally neglecting all of the repairs that are needed in the apartments. Fed up, Rerun calls a tenants meeting and Raj is roped into handing the landlord a list a demands. However, things dont go quite as planned and the landlord evicts Raj and Rerun which forces them to move into the Thomas household with Dee and Shirley.

S3E18 - The Thomas Treasure 1979-03-16

After reading an article in a newspaper, Raj learns that Mamas house was once used as a hideout by some bank robbers and that they may have hid some loot somewhere in it. This leads him, Rerun, Dee, Dwayne and Shirley on a mad search for the money. Meanwhile, they are all unaware the the bank robbers are plotting to come back to claim their money.

S3E19 - The Last Page 1979-03-31

The gang fantasizes about being TV characters from famous ABC shows, such as Threes Company and Happy Days.

S3E20 - First Class Coach 1979-04-07

Big Earl has been coaching Little Earls basketball team and has been pushing the kids constantly to do their best, so when Big Earl gets an undercover assignment he must get a temporary coach and finds one in Dwayne. However, Dwayne proves to be the exact opposite of Big Earl and suddenly the team is finding themselves winning a game for a change. This leads the team to decide whether or not to keep Big Earl.

S3E21 - Dwayne's Debate 1979-04-21

When another classmate drops out of a high school campaign, two attractive girls talk Dwayne into running. When the news reaches his dads ears, Dwayne cant even get a word in to tell him he doesnt want to run but eveyone convinces him that he would be perfect. However, the worst is yet to come, when Dwayne learns that there will be a debate between him and the other candidate.

S3E22 - The Benefit Show 1979-04-28

A local teen center is in serious financial trouble and the gang tries to come up with a way to save it. They finally decide to put on a benefit show and Rerun has someone in mind who will be sure to attract attention, Sammy Davis, Jr. However, Rerun does his best to get a hold of Sammy but soon realizes he must announce that Sammy wont be coming to the benefit.
