A boozy night out has disastrous consequences for Marcella including a ruined childrens party, a lot of missed calls from her ex-boyfriend and an unwanted house guest who has never seen "Friends".

Marcellas wayward brother Billy is coming out of rehab, restarting their sibling rivalry. She lands an audition but needs to cry for the role, and no matter what she tries the tears just will not come.

Marcella needs to tell her family about Billys drug problem but cant bring herself to dent her mothers faith in her golden boy. Finding her hot-headed father as unhinged as usual she reluctantly turns to Simon for help.

Marcella takes her driving test and goes on a date with her driving instructor Jon. She witnesses flatmate Caroline calling boyfriend Mark a filthy rat during sex and finds her ex, Simon, in a compromising position.

Marcella is feeling left behind. But she gets news of an audition. Will this be her big break?

Marcella goes to stay in a country cottage to write and stay off the booze. While shes there, she encounters a horse, a spider and a surprise visitor.
