Adam Young, a fourteen-year-old genius, starts work as a high school science teacher. When the school bully, Jordan "Slab" Slabinski, threatens to beat him up and steals Adams master key and wreaks havoc throughout the school. Now Adam must get creative in order to resolve the conflict and outwit the big oaf, or his first day on the job could be his last.

Adam learns that Echo is taking the same route home from school and is excited to walk with her. That is, until he learns he has detention duty and the only way to get out of it is to prevent anyone from getting in trouble...including Slab.

When Adams "college buddy," a gorgeous twenty-three-year-old girl, comes to visit, Adam thinks she wants to be more than just friends. Derby finds out that she has a boyfriend and has to try to stop Adam from embarrassing himself on their date. Meanwhile, Echo convinces Slab to stage a non-violent protest to prevent Tater from getting rid of the vending machines while Slab gets her to bully people for him.

When a botched experiment in Adams lab creates a gas making everyone tell the truth. When Tater finds out, he places Adam, Echo, Derby, Slab, and Ivy under quarantine. Derby makes Slab cry and then tries to apologize, but he keeps saying the wrong things. Adam tries to prevent any form of communication between him and Echo because hes afraid that if he talks to her, he will tell her how he feels about her. Ivy tries to get out of the school to get to the mall, but Dang keeps stopping her.

When no one is willing to sign up for the talent show, Mr. Tater offers a get out of detention free card as incentive to sign up. Because no one is getting detention, except for Derby, Tater starts to make new rules in order to give out detentions. When he sees Ivy texting in the hall, he tells her that there is a new rule against it. To avoid getting detention and having to sign up for the talent show, Ivy tries to use different forms of long distance communication, but Tater bans them all. Meanwhile, Adam convinces Echo to sing in the school talent show, but when he realizes shes a terrible singer, he tries to prevent her from taking the stage. Meanwhile, Derby searches for a talent to use in the show.

Adam is made faculty advisor for the school play "Romeo & Juliet", but when Tater casts Echo as Juliet, Adam tries to prevent her from kissing another Romeo.

Adam wants to be paired with Echo in a computer match-making fundraiser and will go to any lengths necessary to ensure his questionnaire answers match hers.

Adam believes that a professor has been nominated for a Nobel Prize, based on research he stole from Adam. When he and Derby break in to the professor’s office to search for proof and discover he’s blind, Adam convinces Derby to become a seeing-eye dog, and sniff out the evidence.

Echo wants to create good opportunities for Adam after she found out that they disgraduated him after Grade 3.

Its Halloween night, and Echo invites Adam to go to a horror movie screening at the school. But in order to attend, a grounded Adam must lie to his Mom about where he is going.

Finnegan High School staff members are auctioned off as servants for a day as a fund-raiser. Adam hopes for a day with Echo but she goes for the unwanted Mrs. Byrne leaving Adam for his own sisters evil plans.

Adam gets a new student: Joseph, a ten-year-old genius. At first, Adam is thrilled to have a younger version of himself to mentor. But when he is shown up by Joseph, he lets jealousy get the best of him.

After being pranked by his students, a fed-up Adam quits Finnegan high school and takes a job in the NASA Space Program.While trying to impress his friends with his new job at NASA, Adam accidentally launches them all into outer space.

After a prank gone wrong Derby accidentally knocks Santa out of his sleigh on Christmas Eve, causing him to lose his memory. So Adam, Derby, Echo, Ivy and Slab delivered the presents to the world. When they come back (everybody except Derby), they find out that Santa only pretended to lose his memory, and claimed he was lazy and he himself was on the naughty list. This show is mostly Derbys dream.

Adam follows Echo to the exotic country of Sanduras in the hopes of spending time with her, but he keeps getting pulled away by his guardian, Mrs. Byrne. Meanwhile, Derby and Slab travel to Sanduras by hot air balloon, and Tater and Dang search for a legendary beast: the Sasquawk.

Having had his career ruined by Derby, Preston Pickles takes a job as Finnegan Highs new shop teacher. But while no one else will believe him, Derby is convinced that Preston is trying to get rid of him. Derby must find a way to restart Prestons career as an infomercial pitchman, or face the wrath of the Derbinator 3000.

The red carpet is rolled out for Finnegans brightest stars to present their movies at the first annual Film Festival. With each student submitting a film, entries run the gamut from a sappy romantic comedy, to a 3D action thriller, to a Kung Fu extravaganza. May the best movie win!

In hopes of getting Derby to stop acting up, Adam and Principal Tater decide he needs some responsibility. They suggest Derby run for Student Council President. However, when Derby does them one better by campaigning for School Superintendent, Adam and Tater must stop him from winning or risk losing their jobs. Meanwhile, Echo helps Slab for his cousins birthday.

When Adam finds out that Echo is obsessed with Dark Demon, a heavy metal musician that Adam knew in college, he tries to get his old friend to come to Finnegan High. But when Dark Demon refuses to make an appearance, Adam pretends to be the leather-clad rocker, and must perform at Echos Save the Ferrets benefit.

After Adam secretly tweaks Echos science fair project, she wins first prize. With everyone thinking Echo is a genius, she is instantly graduated from Finnegan and offered a full scholarship to Great Northern University. Now Adam, with the help of Derby and Slab, must crash a frat party and convince Echo to come back to Finnegan.

Adam tries to get Derby off of a computer game called Pixel City. Derby is spending all his time on the computer, playing "Pixel City," as his virtual alter-ego, Antoine Bolognese. Set on convincing Derby to rejoin the real world, Adam enters the game to track him down. But it wont be easy, since Derby has digitally recreated the entire Finnegan gang to serve and protect him.

When Derby didnt get his free toy with his cereal, he and Adam goes to Cyclops Foods to talk with the head of the company, an actual one-eyed cyclops. Meanwhile, Slab joins the schools knitting club, and later gets obsessed with it, but it turns out to have caused more trouble as the nerds are messing around too much with the school.

Adam, Echo, Derby, Ivy and Slab tell the principal how they destroyed Taters scooter in aseries of flashbacks. When Adam, Echo, Derby, Ivy, and Slab find themselves waiting outside Principal Taters office together, they realize theyre all in trouble for the same crime - wrecking Principal Taters scooter. We hear their stories, which include hamsters being born, chickens being freed, and trips to Ireland.

When a dreamy new English teacher shows up at Finnegan High and impresses Echo with his poetry, Adam becomes jealous and tries to make it so that he never sees her.

The school loses power and the students try to live without technology when they accept a dare from Principal Tater.

The morning after Halloween, the gang tries to remember what they did during their candy-fueled haze the night before

The class goes to a Magic Mansion. Adam tries to get rid of everyone with a "magic box" so he and Echo can be alone, and in a string of odd events later ends up trying to saw Echo in half. Meanwhile, Principal Tater tries to get a new membership card.

Adam makes a drink that will make him more confident to ask Echo out, but it ends up wrong when he turns into a monster. And even worse is that whenever he talks or thinks about Echo being cute he turns into the monster. Now he must stay away from Echo to prevent from turning into the monster. But in the end, Echo accidentally drinks the potion and now when she thinks about Adam being cute she turns into a monster.

Time is accelerated after an experiment went wrong; Adam and Derby age.

Adam is hired as a science advisor for a sci-fi movie being shot in Finnegan.

Adam is determined to join Finnegans secret club.

After freeing a Sasquawk, a giant chicken monster, Adam is kidnapped by the beast who loves him.

When Echo decides she and Adam should set each other up on a double date, Adam must try to find a date who Echo wont fall for.

While taking Ivy on a tour of Great Northern University, Adam and his old professor tell Ivy about Adams first day on campus.

In order to make a better first impression on his crush Echo, Adam uses a time machine to travel back to the past to meet her for the first time all over again. After returning to the present he realizes his plan has backfired and he has to time travel back again to repair his relationship with Echo. However, the time travel mishaps multiply and spiral out of control and soon Adam’s meddling in the past has him scrambling to keep from being permanently stuck there.Eventually by the end Adam decides to not change the past and goes back to the present. There Echo tells Adam that she likes him and they start dating. They then kiss. They decide to keep it a secret from everyone else.

When Derby almost gives away the secret that Adam and Echo are dating, Adam plots to erase Derbys memory. However, Adam gets Preston Pickles to advertise and use Derby to volunteer the Memory-Erase machine but he uses Echo and erases her memory that she is in love with Adam!

When Mrs. Straupersson is found dead, Ivy gets put on trial.

A TV news program comes to interview Adam about being the worlds youngest high school teacher. To ensure the interview goes smoothly, Tater has dumped Echo, Derby, and Slab in a fake version of Finnegan High.

Dang is called back to Vietnam to take over for Master Ki as guardian of his village. The gang heads to Vietnam to try and convince Dang to come back to Finnegan for graduation. While there, Adam discovers an ancient scroll that points to the mythical fountain of youth, which if found, could make Master Ki young again, releasing Dang from his duties. But to find the fountain, Adam must go up against Echo who is trying to preserve the leaf monkey habitat.
