Trying to ignore "A" backfired for the girls, and now they must pay the penalty. In the aftermath of the disastrous homecoming dance, the girls try to sort out the devastation that is left behind. Parents, boyfriends (secret ones, possible ones and current ones), siblings and friends are all in flux, and if the little liars dont act fast, the situation could go from bad to worse. And to top it off, the girls are sitting on some killer information about Toby that some people would die to get their hands on. Meanwhile, "A" isnt the only one sending Aria text messages as tensions rise in the Montgomery household.

Rosewood gets a massive storm on the day the students are to take their SAT test, which causes the school to postpone the examinations. Trapped in the school during the storm, the girls personal lives become stormy as well. Drama strikes each girl differently and manifests itself into different situations. After the storm passes and the girls get to go home, they all come to the realization that taking the SATs would have been a much easier task to complete.

Moments after Hanna is hit by a car, the girls’ world is turned upside down. “A” is no longer content to playing a game of cat and mouse – it has taken a far more precarious turn and now more than ever the four Pretty Little Liars have to turn to each other for support. With Hanna in the hospital and armed with the information of who “A” is, the girls are backtracking to figure out how they got to this point. How could this person know everything and want to use it against them? Meanwhile, each girl has to also deal with a secret that is either found out, confessed or confronted – proving that secrets are still abound in Rosewood, PA.

Relationships are in flux in Rosewood, PA as the Liars face many obstacles. As Noel steps up his pursuit of Ezra and what he can gain from his knowledge, Aria and Ezra start to feel like there may be no way out. Emily must also deal with opposition to her love life, as her mother Pams perceived tolerance of Maya comes to a screeching halt. And Spencer must now handle the return of happy newlyweds Melissa and Ian, even though her suspicions of Ians ties to Alison grow. But with the other girls support and unexpected help form an unlikely source, the future for the Liars doesnt look so hopeless. Meanwhile, "A" has Hanna jumping through old habit hoops with regard to the stolen money. Will Hanna fall back into her old ways, or does she have the will power to stand up to "A" and her games?

The girls try to resume a sense of normalcy in their lives, but even the simple tasks of dating and extra-circular activities meet with strife. Emily must deal with a jealous teammate who is threatened by Emily’s return to the pool, as Aria and Ezra plan their first date out in the open. And Hanna is still stuck playing “A’s” game, but the next hurdle might just have complications for another Liar. With “A” pulling the strings and making matters worse, will the girls be able to weather the storm and lie their way out of it, or will they have to face the ugly truths? Meanwhile, Spencer turns to Ali’s brother, Jason, for information about the night they believe Alison died, only to have to face part of her unpleasant past with Ali.

What happens to one liar when parent-teacher conferences come around and her father sits face to face with the love of her life? What about when another one reaches out to a tarnished innocent, when no one else will? And what about the liar who is taken by surprise by an unpleasant person? In the second-season premiere, the girls face the fallout from what happened with Ian at the church, and their parents have them talk with a therapist. Meanwhile, Caleb returns to see Hanna; and Spencer is told that Toby is off-limits.

Aria signs up for a college pottery class to get closer to Ezra, Emily lies to her mother about her swimming scholarship status, and Spencer spies on Alisons older brother, who has just moved back into Rosewood.

Hanna learns more about Calebs foster family, while the other Liars deal with the resolution and closure of the news about Ian.

Its Emilys moving day, while Hanna worries about Calebs wheelings and dealings. Aria is concerned about a party that both Ezra and Jason are invited to and Toby reacts to a discovery about Spencer.

Spencer is determined to find out what Jason is hiding at his house and decides to finally get some answers. With Jason continuing to pop up in Arias life, will she be able to resist their undeniable chemistry?

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer finally decide it is time to tell someone about "A". Meanwhile, Hannas infamous grandmother drops into town for Toms rehearsal dinner.

Its the Halloween before Alison disappeared and where all of the secrets and lies began for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer.

After their recent encounter with “A”, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer think they may be closer than ever to figuring out whom “A” really is. But when the girls decide to enlist Caleb’s hacking skills to help with their quest, Hanna no longer wants a part of the plan. The last thing Hanna wants is to get Caleb involved in something else shady and also to open the door to questions that Hanna can’t answer. Once the girls realize that “A” has a helper, Hanna has no other choice. Instead of focusing on figuring out who the “helper” is, Hanna decides to put all of her efforts into throwing a surprise party for Caleb. But will a surprise party at Spencer’s lake house be the diversion Hanna is looking for, or just a recipe for disaster? Meanwhile, Aria and Ezra must deal with the aftermath of coming clean.

Rosewood High’s "Truth-Up Day," is not just an opportunity for the students of the school to air their grievances and stop bullying, but also a chance for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer to get answers to some burning questions. Spencer looks to find answers on what is going on between Jason and her father when Jason shows up as a chaperone; Aria continues to question Holden on what exactly he is up to during their "date nights," and Hanna tries to figure out the latest situation with Kate. But will the girls be ready for what they find out when shocking truths are revealed? Meanwhile, Emily gets help from an unlikely source to get back on the Rosewood swim team.

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have been the target of "A’s" games for awhile, leaving them emotionally cut off from their families and friends. But when a surprising new victim of "A" is revealed, the PLLs tight-knit group may just get one person larger. But what is "A’s" motive of targeting someone outside of Alison’s group of besties? Meanwhile, Spencer runs from her family troubles right into Wren’s arms, as Ezra’s new opportunity could push him away from Aria.

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are on the quest for answers of what Alison knew before she died and they might have just gotten a big lead when someone from Alisons past appears. Duncan might hold the key to all of the girls answers, but can they trust him to let down their guard? And just when they feel like Duncan may be the only lead, Jason drops off a bag of Alisons personal items that could be more than just a bag of junk. Meanwhile, Tobys return to Rosewood brings a surprise reunion that ends dangerously.

Rosewoods Junior League Masquerade Gala is the perfect setting for "As" next game of cat and mouse with his/her favorite targets. But with Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer fast on his/her heels, will this game be "As" last?

A new "A" player is in town and is determined to show the Liars that he/she means business. After getting a gruesome reminder that "A" is still calling the shots, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer try to quickly devise a plan on how to deal with this old/new threat and the usual game that has been taken up a notch. Spencer and Hanna continue to play with fire as they look for answers, while one of Aria’s past indiscretions becomes fodder for "A’s" game. Meanwhile, a still very shaky Emily tries to focus on school but could easily be derailed when she remembers a crucial piece from "that night."

The truth can sometimes hurt and the Liars must take that into account when deciding to reveal secrets. Hannas visits with Mona are driving a wedge between Hanna and Caleb. But would it be so bad if Hanna told Caleb that she needed to see Mona to get information about this "A?" Aria, on the other hand, is dreading telling Ella that Byron is back in the dating scene and dating Meredith. But wouldnt it be better if Ella found out from Aria than hearing it someplace else? And Spencer needs to know the truth about Melissa, even if the truth hurts. Meanwhile, Emily finds some solace after meeting Mayas cousin, Nathan.

After getting a major clue from Garrett, Hanna and Spencer set out on their separate missions. Hanna sees a perfect opportunity to catch "A" or to at least see who is helping Garrett out. But her perfect plan starts to quickly unravel, leaving Hanna frustrated and desperate. Spencer tries to figure out the meaning of the clue and enlists Jasons help in the search. Meanwhile, Emily gets another flashback from "that night" which leads her to a surprising suspect and Aria starts to question Ezras sudden influx of cash.

Emily is struggling to deal not only with the loss of Maya, but the knowledge that someone drugged her "that night" and how that has now affected Paige. Going to make amends with Paige and try to explain the drugged flask ends up leading Emily to more insight of what she did "that night." Also trying to help Emily out, Spencer turns to Caleb to help crack into a website that might hold answers for them all. Meanwhile, Aria realizes she knows very little about Ezra after meeting his mother and Hanna makes a plea on Monas behalf.

After learning that Noel and his familys cabin had something to do with "that night" and possibly Mayas disappearance, the girls work to try and put the pieces together. Hanna and Emily head out to the Kahn family cabin looking for clues linking Maya to the site, while Spencer does some snooping of her own on Noel. Could Noel have had a hand in this after all, or are he and Jenna just bluffing to send Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer down the wrong path? Meanwhile, Aria must deal with the aftermath of meeting Ezras mom and the information about Ezras past.

With Garretts trial for Mayas murder starting, the town of Rosewood has become a media spectacle. At odds with her friends over Paige, Emily doesnt know where to turn when the media attention becomes too much for her. "A" sees this as a perfect opportunity and takes advantage of the situation and sends Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer on a path to a possible truce. But is "As peace offering real or just a trap for a much darker ending? Meanwhile, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are betrayed as someone very close to them is revealed as part of the "A" team.

Radley Sanitarium has given Mona a clean bill of health and she is headed back to the halls of Rosewood High, much to the Liars dismay. With their former tormentor now back in their everyday life, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer take very different views of the "new" Mona. She made their lives a living hell... Is she really cured? And what other secrets could she be holding onto? Its up to Mona to prove to the Liars if she has changed or not.

Aria is down for the count when sidelined by the flu, so Hanna and Emily are on their own to follow up on a new clue. Surprisingly, Meredith steps up to help take care of Aria while her father is away, but when it starts to look like Meredith may have ulterior motives to her nursing Aria back to health, Hanna and Emily turn their attention towards saving their friend. Is Meredith just trying to start anew with Aria and be her number one fan, or is there reason for her friends to be concerned? Meanwhile, Spencer takes a break from all the sleuthing to surprise Toby for their anniversary.

Now that Alis remains are back with her family, the DiLaurentis are set to bury her again, giving Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer another opportunity to say goodbye to their friend. With everything that has gone on since Alis disappearance, the girls are divided about going to yet another memorial. Aria, Hanna and Emily are ready for another round of goodbye, if not for them but to also support Jason. Spencer, on the other hand, has had enough and wants nothing to do with the burial. Why keep saying farewell to a girl who wasnt that great of a friend after all? Meanwhile, Emily goes to visit Dr. Sullivan to help with her unresolved feelings about killing Nate, but comes away with much more than expected.

Shaken up after recent events and holding new information about Det. Wilden, Aria, Emily and Hanna are on the hunt for answers about the detectives past. Looking to Shana and Cece for more insight, the ladies seem to be making progress in their search. But they quickly start running out of time when they learn that Wilden is close on their heels and determined to stop them. Now with Det. Wilden on the war path, some residents of Rosewood will find out how far he is willing to go to keep his secrets from coming out. Meanwhile, after many pleas from her friends Spencer finally finds someone to lean on.

Spencer hasnt been herself lately, but has she had enough to just disappear? Could "A" have done something to her? These are all questions that Aria, Emily and Hanna are asking themselves when Spencer goes missing. But when it turns out even her family doesnt know where Spencer has gone to, the girls frantically search for answers hoping their worst fears arent true. But where Spencer does turn up at, maybe she doesnt want to be found. Meanwhile, Emily gets the surprise of a lifetime when she meets Gold Medalist Missy Franklin.

Spencer is back home and presenting a good front, but Aria, Hanna and Emily are not so sure their friend is fully back after seeing how fragile she was just a day or so before. Unfortunately the girls dont have much time to ponder Spencers health as shocking revelations are brought to the forefront. With so much happening and new information being uncovered, will the Liars be ready for what is waiting for them?

Mrs. DiLaurentis presence in Rosewood continues to unnerve all those around her, especially when she gives Hanna a family parrot, whose gift for mimicry provides startling insight into Alisons last days. Tired of feeling defenseless against "A," Aria decides to learn self defense and is intrigued by her sexy instructor. Meanwhile, Toby shares a heartbreaking secret with Spencer, and Hanna makes an alarming discovery regarding her mom. And to complicate matters even further, "A" nearly kills the newest PLL - Mona.

Holbrooks partner, Lt. Tanner, comes to town, intensifying their investigation into the Liars and their possible connection to Wildens death. Emily panics when her parents come under undue scrutiny due to "As" manipulations. Hanna bristles when Caleb tries to help her through her this latest crisis, and tries to shift the focus of the police investigation. And Toby finds a new source of information into his mothers death, but it only leads to more questions. Meanwhile Aria has an uncomfortable encounter while out with Jake, and Spencer lays a trap for Melissa.

Hanna has some explaining to do to her parents and the police after she’s found with something she shouldn’t have. Mona spills a secret of Spencer’s to the other Liars – leading to hurt feelings amongst the group. Emily tries to help Hanna, only to have “A” turn the tables. And Aria helps out a friend of Mike’s, who gets the wrong impression of her. Meanwhile, Shana keeps popping up in the most unusual places. And Spencer’s investigation into who was on the other end of Ali’s mysterious phone number leads her and Toby to Ravenswood – which is unlike any place they’ve ever seen.

Hanna comes up with a desperate plan to save her mother from a conviction and turns to the only person she thinks can help – Mona. Caleb tries to convince her Mona can’t be trusted, causing Mona to prove her loyalty in the most unexpected way. And Spencer returns to an old haunt to investigate new evidence relating to Wilden and his surprising ties to another mysterious death. Meanwhile, “A’s” recent machinations take their toll on Emily and her mom, driving Emily to reconnect with her old boss Zoe to look for an escape. And Aria relies on Jake to help her understand Mike’s new attitude, leaving them both confused about the nature of their relationship.

Still living at a motel, Emily is taken aback when Mrs. Dilaurentis offers to let her move into Alis old room and is even more distraught when the other Liars insist she take Mrs. D up on her offer. Hanna explodes when it appears her mothers recent good fortune has taken a turn for the worse. And Ezra continues to reel from Maggies big news when hes dealt an even more crushing blow regarding his son. Meanwhile, Aria makes an effort to get involved in Jakes interests and finds herself with an opportunity to follow up on a lead. And "A" continues to toy with Tobys emotions regarding his mothers death, and Spencer is along for the ride.

An intriguing riddle from “A” has the Liars hitting the road and heading to Ravenswood, where they are surrounded by some familiar faces. During a very special magic show, one Liar pulls a disappearing act, leaving the other three scrambling to make sure she hasn’t succumbed to “A’s” tricks. But before they can hightail it out of Ravenswood, they make a shocking discovery that proves that everything they thought they knew about “A” and the “A” team might be wrong. With this discovery, the Liars may just have started “World War A”-- #WorldWarA. Meanwhile, Hanna and her mother’s joyous reunion is cut short when “A’s” sights are set on a new target. And Toby uncovers some surprising information about Wren.

Armed with the knowledge that Alison is alive, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have more questions now than ever before. Trying to put the pieces together Hanna comes up with the idea that if they find out who is really buried in Ali’s grave it may lead to much needed answers. But as the girls search, Emily has trouble dealing with how she feels about Alison being alive.

Shana returns to Ravenswood to tell Emily that she has a message from Ali, but can Emily and the girls trust Shana with all that they know about her? And when Shana ups the stakes and says that Ali wants to meet Emily - and only Emily - could it all be part of an "A" plan, or is Emily really Alisons favorite? With Emily becoming more hopeful by the minute, Spencer is determined to not let her friend get hurt. Meanwhile, Aria and Hanna deal with matters of the heart.

With Spencer’s possible Board Shorts revelation, she is now more determined than ever to prove her theory before bringing it to the other girls’ attention – especially since it could have a devastating effect on one of the Liars. But with many sleepless nights fueled by prescription medication, Hanna starts to notice Spencer’s odd behavior. Will Detective Hanna be able to figure out Spencer’s secret before Spencer is ready to share? Meanwhile, Emily looks to make amends with Alison through Shana, and all of Aria’s lies start to take a toll on her.

Spencer is determined that it is finally time to tell Aria about what she has found out about Ezra, but Emily and Hanna are worried about what it could do to their friend. A wrench is thrown into the plan when Ezra tells Aria about his concern and suspicion of Spencers recent addiction problem. Now with Spencers credibility being questioned, can the girls trust what Spencer has been telling them about Ezra -- could this all be a figment of Spencers tired brain or really just a clever ploy by Ezra to cover his tracks?

Emily takes up the sleuthing reins as she searches for answers about Ezra and Mona. After confronting both, Emily tries to make sense of the heartbreaking situation. Hanna, on the other hand, begins a new search after being confronted by Det. Holbrook and Lt. Tanner with a possible new lead in Alison’s case.Meanwhile, Spencer and Aria lean on new men in their lives to recover.

After years of questions and mystery surrounding the night Alison DiLaurentis disappeared, her four best friends come face to face with Ali and finally learn what really happened to her that September night. Now with their newfound knowledge of Ali’s long-held secrets, can Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer help Alison finally figure out who “A” is?

Testimony at Alisons trial reveals a plethora of lies; Spencer, Aria, Emily, and Caleb follow a string of clues in hope of uncovering information that will clear Hanna.

Shocking secrets come to light for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer as the biggest clue to the "A" mystery is revealed.

The girls may have gotten out of the Dollhouse but what happened to them during their time of captivity has lasting effects. With worried loved ones watching over them, the PLLs are home and trying to heal, with not much success. Even with suspected tormentor Andrew in custody, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer fear they are far from safe. Meanwhile, Alison must deal with her past indiscretions and her notoriety around Rosewood.

After lying to Alison and Jason about Charles, Kenneth comes clean about the family’s connection to the young boy. While he won’t give much detail about Charles’ past, he say’s enough to give the PLLs a clue of where to look for the missing pieces – Radley Sanitarium. With Radley now closed and the files shipped off to be shredded, the girls must act fast before all traces of Charles’ past disappear. Meanwhile, Caleb’s protective nature starts to pinch Hanna, and Spencer seeks a remedy for her sleeping issues.

With all signs pointing to Lesli as the tormentor in the hoodie, the PLLs are on a mission to get concrete proof before bringing their findings to the police. But as the girls ramp up their investigation, "A’s" threats escalate. Meanwhile, a friend of Emily’s makes her a surprising offer, and Spencer is pressured by her family to make an important decision.

After their latest run-in with Charles, tensions are at an all-time high with the PLLs and the town of Rosewood. Aria’s big moment of seeing her work displayed in an art gallery is in jeopardy as Ella is determined to keep her safe at home. Hanna is still uncomfortable with the unexpected scholarship money and is determined to give it back, even if that means ruining her chances at going to her school of choice. And to top it off, the one normal high-school rite of passage the girls are looking forward to is in danger as Rosewood High is considering not letting the PLLs attend prom due to security issues. Meanwhile, the more Alison learns about her brother the harder she finds it to connect a deranged murderer to the young blonde haired boy she sees in the photos and in her memories.

Who killed Tobys mother? Who hit Alison in the head with the rock the night she went missing? Who is Red Coat? Who killed Bethany? Who is the Black Widow? Why has "A" been targeting the PLLs all this time? After years of torture, Alison, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer finally come face-to-face with their tormentor and learn the story of how and why Charles became "A."

As the girls are forced to stay in Rosewood, questions about the new mystery surface. A restless Aria starts to look suspicious as she heads back to Boston a little too quickly. But could Aria really be the one behind this? As Spencer, Emily and Hanna find themselves back in familiar territory, they arent happy with going about solving this puzzle "the old way." Meanwhile, Emily continues to lie about her life in California and Alison keeps a close eye on her friends.

With the Rosewood P.D. breathing down Hannas neck about The Radley security footage, she opts to confess the truth to those closest to her in hopes they can help. Aria continues to search for answers, with help from Emily, on whether Ezra is as guilty as he seems. Spencer works together with Caleb to track down the new threat. Meanwhile, there is awkwardness all around when new love interests emerge and old ones resurface.

While new discoveries are made in the investigation of Charlottes murder, the truth begins to emerge about the Liars personal lives. Spencer is concerned to learn her mother is keeping a secret of her own. Aria confesses to Liam how deeply shes involved with Ezras book. Ali admits that she and Elliott are more than just friends. Mona reveals where her true allegiances lie. Caleb, Spencer and Hanna deal with the complications of new relationships. Meanwhile, Emily and Hanna each receive shocking threats that elevate the seriousness of the situation.

After the stalker nearly killed Emily, the Liars begin to take the threats more seriously and attempt to keep their mouths shut to prevent any further harm. Caleb must deal with the collateral damage of taking the blame for the leak about Yvonne; Spencer tries to comfort him and get him to tell the truth. Emily goes on a mission to track down who came after her. Aria and Ezra move forward with the novel. Meanwhile, Hanna avoids dealing with her personal life.

With the stalker threatening to kill all of them if they don’t divulge Charlotte’s killer by the election, the PLLs and company, at wit’s end, must boldly fight back. As Spencer and Toby work together to catch Sara Harvey, Yvonne wonders where Toby’s true affections lie. Ezra finishes the last chapter of his book, finally ready to say goodbye to Nicole; Aria comforts him during this emotional time and old feelings bubble to the surface. While Caleb works intently on his plan to protect Hanna, they reflect on what could have been. Meanwhile, Alison experiences strange visions and starts to question her sanity; Emily keeps tabs on her to make sure she’s okay.

With the fallout of Hanna’s abduction still weighing heavily on the PLLs, the Liars begin to grow suspicious of Elliott Rollins as Ali’s condition worsens. Tensions rise between Liam, Aria and Ezra as they work on the book together. Spencer and Caleb are on edge, as neither of them want to talk about the awkward elephant in the room. Meanwhile, Emily receives a disturbing phone call and tries to find a way to see Ali.

The PLLs desperately attempt to cover up their secret, and in turn, end up straining their relationships with their respective bed buddies by keeping them in the dark. While the aftermath of Haleb’s kiss weighs on Spaleb’s relationship, Spencer copes in ways she might later regret. Mona intervenes with the cover-up plan, for better or worse.

The Rosewood P.D. begins to unravel the Liars’ cover-up, which leads them to question Rollins’ death altogether. Hanna deals with an inward battle on whether or not to tell the cops the truth, while Ezria struggles with an awkwardness in their relationship. Jenna reveals part of her plot and a new partner she is in cahoots with. Ali learns that the Liars gave her up as Charlotte’s killer in order to free Hanna, which does not go over well. Meanwhile, someone is murdered for playing with the wrong team.

Emily goes up for a position as the Rosewood High swim coach, only to learn that her ex-girlfriend Paige is also up for the job. Hanna is visited by Mrs. Grunwald after she has a vision that the PLLs are in danger. The girls track down the doctor who delivered Mary’s baby in order to get answers. Ali decides to go back to work to help bring some normalcy to her life again.

The Liars face off with their enemies in a chaotic fight that ends fatally. One of the PLLs learns a secret about her past that changes everything while another Liar discovers something about her future that could alter her course forever.

Emily butts heads with teenager Addison, who appears to be a new version of high school Ali, and who may be connected to a familiar foe. Spencer confronts her mother about keeping family secrets. Aria confides in Holden about her relationship with Ezra, while Spencer turns to Detective Furey for help. And Jenna stirs up even more trouble when she returns to Rosewood with some insight into Noel Kahn and recent events.

Ali’s turn at the game forces her to face a monumental personal decision, made even more difficult when A.D. triggers Ali to remember a forgotten trauma. Spencer has a long overdue conversation with her father about his past sins and recent whereabouts. Emily continues to navigate working at Rosewood High with both Ali and Paige, especially when Ali comes to a troubling realization about her pregnancy, and Paige makes a big decision. Aria continues to question the fate of her relationship with Ezra and bristles under A.D.’s taunts. And, in the search for Mary Drake, Hanna and Spencer run into a familiar face with a shocking secret.

As Detective Furey closes in on uncovering what happened to Archer Dunhill, the Liars team up to protect one of their own. Hanna continues to struggle with the idea that Lucas might be connected to A.D. even in the face of more evidence. Emily surprises Ali with a heartfelt gesture that is undone by A.D. machinations; and the Liars gain insight into where the idea for the game originated.

The Rosewood PD turn up the heat on the Liars, causing loved ones to try and close ranks. Aria’s recent collaboration with A.D. comes to the attention of a surprising source. A.D. presents the PLLs with a choice designed to drive a wedge between them. Meanwhile, everyone tries to find a bit of happiness before all hell breaks loose. Toby returns to Rosewood, and Aria makes a horrifying discovery.

All is revealed as the ultimate endgame comes to light.
