Musical guest: Dru Hill Moesha returns from summer camp and has about one week left before she starts school at Bridgewood Academy. So she makes plans to go to the Labor Day Jammy with her friends and secretly wishes that shell run into Q there, but she clashes with Frank when he wants her to go with him and Dee to her schools fundraiser. Moesha meets her new classmate, Haley Dillard, and together they con Frank into letting them ""hang out with Haleys friends."" At the Jammy, Moesha finds Q, but they both agree to just be friends.

Moesha begins her first day of school at Bridgewood Academy. She is introduced to snobby Mary Ellen Hobbs, the daughter of a friend of Dees. The following day, during a class discussion, Moesha walks out of class after clashing with Mary Ellen. She visits Crenshaw and finds out that she isnt very missed.

Dee decides its time to redecorate the house. so she has a garage sale and encourages Moesha to donate any of her old junk. But when Moesha learns that Dees trying to sell the old furniture that belonged to her mother, she loses her cool.

Q, Hakeem and Kim decide to merge their talents together and create their own group CPQ. After seeing her friends perform at The Den, Moesha decides to invite Haley, whose father is a record producer, to hear her friends sing, but she risks losing a friend in Haley who feels that Moesha is using her.

Kim accidentally hears Moesha and Niecy making fun of her weight. Upset, Kim gives them the cold shoulder when they all are supposed to dress as the ""Divas of Soul"" for the Halloween party at The Den. As Moesha and Niecy attempt to apologize to Kim, they all find themselves victims of gossiping behind each others backs. Meanwhile, Myles catches the flu, forcing him to stay home and cancel ""trick-or-treating.""

Frank accompanies Hakeem to a ""Father-Son"" retreat. Q and his father attend the retreat as well; causing some unresolved hostility between Frank and Q. As Frank, Q and the others resolve their conflicts, Frank and Q come to a new understanding. Meanwhile, the girls (and Myles) learn self-defense techniques from Don ""The Dragon"" Wilson whos in town to shoot a new movie and needs The Den as a part of the set.

A party at a teen club called The Bombay, organized by Q, gets out of control when the rumor is spread that a big star is performing there. After getting arrested by the police, Andell holds a community meeting at The Den to discuss the differences between young adults and adults.

Musical guest: Chico DeBarge Moesha agrees to attend a dance, held at The Den, with her friend David (whos rather a little person). Moesha soon finds out that she isnt bothered by his height, but by his rudeness. Meanwhile, Myles has issues about his height.

Prominent career newswoman Alexandria Nourse gives a speech at Bridgewood and as an old friend of Franks- Moesha invites her over for dinner. But it turns out that they were more than just ""friends.""

Moesha starts paying for her own telephone, cable and new furniture and Frank is happy that he doesnt have to pay for it, but Dee doesnt like what she sees.

While playing a friendly game of Truth or Dare, Kim and Niecy dare an innocent Moesha to get a tattoo. She reluctantly agrees to the dare only if Kim and Niecy go with her. After learning that Kim really didnt get her nose pierced and Niecy didnt get anything at all, a new branded Moesha must now face her father. Trying to stay cool and calm, Frank goes along with Dees plans of letting Moesha grow up, but he accidentally tells Moesha his opinion of her. Meanwhile, Hakeem takes a second job at The Den, but he unknowingly mixes Andells imported colon cleanser mix into the smoothies and serves them to customers.

After leaving home, Moesha turns to Andell for the night. Although she promises Andell shell go back home the next day, she surprises Andell by staying at The Den the following day. Upset that Moesha lied to her, Andell forces Moesha to talk to Frank, but nothings changed between them. Back at Andells Moesha becomes a bother to Andell and her new beau, Uncle Bernie.

Without Moesha around, Myles begins to miss his sister. Moesha helps her friends with their Homecoming preparations. Grandma Mitchell visits the family and stirs up a heated conversation over Moesha and Franks disagreements. Myles tries to make an attempt to keep the family together (reminiscent to the 1997 movie Soul Food). After all the hostility dies down, Frank tells Moesha that he wants her to return home.

Dee convinces the family to join Myles in a family therapy session, but Moesha decides to ditch the session to hang out with her friends. Frank reschedules the session so that everyone can attend and everyone begins to open up and express their feelings towards one another.

Moesha, Kim and Hakeem think a bully named Devon Stamps, from their third grade class, is stalking them, due to a practical joke that turned ugly.

Now that theyre a couple again, Moesha tries to discover what true love is all about. Niecy reveals that shes the first out of the group to have sex; prompting a curious Moesha with various questions about love and sex. Moesha and Kim visit the health clinic where Moesha prescribes for birth control pills. Later, Dee finds the pills in Moeshas purse; leading to a serious conversation about sex. Dee promises Moesha that she wont tell Frank about the pills. Moesha meets Aaron but her anticipation for a romantic evening turn into a nightmare when she learns that he has had many sexual partners. Upset, Moesha walks out of his life for good.

Andell holds a tutoring program at The Den, and Moesha decides to write an article about the tutoring sessions in hopes of winning a newspapers journalism contest. One of Myles friends named Justin reveals a story that he has trouble reading (only so he can be around Moesha). So, Moesha decides to write a story on Justins illiteracy but she forgets one important thing-- she didnt check the facts after Justin lied about not being able to read. Meanwhile, Frank goes on a diet after he becomes slightly overweight.

During Black History Month, Moesha and students divide along racial lines after a protest over the lack of black representation in Antonios mural of Mexican-American migrant workers. Meanwhile, Myles tries to win a new bike in a contest.

Moesha and her friends participate in The Ladies of Eminence Debutante Ball, but Moesha has second thoughts because shes not interested in ""high-class society."" But she changes her mind when she learns that her former classmate Mary Ellen Hobbs is banned from the affair after getting pregnant.

Moesha is envious of a gifted, yet reclusive, classmate who is named valedictorian but she also learns that hes homeless and cleans tables in the schools cafeteria. Meanwhile, Frank thinks Myles is ready for the ""talk.""

Kims mother, Nikki, is re-starting a journey she began 18 years ago. With Dees help, she will be completing her high school diploma. To her chagrin, the only requirement is to finish a history class, taught by the same teacher who flunked her years ago. Mr. Fullmore is probably the most boring teacher at Crenshaw High. He calls on Nikki to answer a question when he sees that shes asleep in class. She answers the question correctly. But when she stands up for Hakeem after Mr. Fullmore insults him, he makes her take a pop quiz for the class in which every student will receive the grade she scores. She gets an ""A."" Nikki surprises Kim when she tells her that she will be going to Santa Monica College with her. Kim feels like her mother is intruding on her world. After registration, Nikki and Kim attend a party. Kim is embarrassed, even though all the kids think shes lucky to have a cool mother. Nikki confesses to Kim that the only reason she has courage to follow through with her dream

Musical guest: Silk Only hours before her senior prom, Moesha gets a call from her dates mother explaining that her son had an injury and will not be able to accompany Mo to the prom. But because she has waited so long for this event, Moesha decides to go alone. Although Kim, Niecy and Hakeem have dates, their prom experiences are far from perfect. Kims date, Andre, spends more time worrying about his hair than Kim. Hakeems date uses him as a cover so she can meet with her boyfriend. And Niecys date, Antonio, chose a dress for her thats so tight that she cant move. After dancing with her father, Moesha meets a handsome mystery man wh asks her to dance. When his beeper goes off at midnight, he thanks her for a wonderful night and dashes away, leaving only a button behind with his initials on it. The next day, the girls go through the last four years of school yearbooks to find Mos ""Cinderfella."" But they cant find a match. They realize that R.C. are the initials for the hotel th

Moesha, Hakeem and Niecy go across town for a graduation day brunch where Moeshas car breaks down an hour before the big event. After finding many solutions to finding a way to their graduation, Moesha, Hakeem and Niecy finally make it across the stage. But Moeshas post-graduation plans change when she gets a job offer with VIBE magazine.

Kasey, the former receptionist, has Moesha follow up on some incomplete messages she took. Niecy drops by Moeshas job because theyve made plans to go to the movies. Moesha answers a phone call who happens to be Dr. Maya Angelou and decides to seize the moment to set up an interview with Dr. Maya Angelou as writer at the magazine. Moesha convinces Niecy to pretend to be her secretary. She then interviews Dr. Angelou in Joes office. Dr. Angelou clues in on the fact that Moesha is hungry for recognition. Moesha confesses that she has decided to bypass college so she can work on her writing career. Dr. Angelou gives her a profound reason to reconsider college. Later, Joe praises Moesha on her writing, but apologizes that he will have to fire her for misrepresenting herself as staff writer. Moesha later tells her family that she has decided to go to college.

Moesha lands a job tutoring athletes. She gets assigned to a promising NBA candidate named Ray Meadows. Ray has to write an English paper. Ray asks Moesha to finish the paper for him because hes too busy with practice and studying plays. Moesha agrees to write it, since theyre friends. Dorian sees Moeshas writing Rays paper and teases her, claiming that he uses the same game with girls at his school. Moesha reconsiders writing the paper and tells Ray that she can not do his paper for him. Upset, Ray tells her that hes not interested in a friendship with her if he cant benefit from it.

Moesha and Nicey are taking history from Professor Ward, but they dont appreciate his racial disparaging jokes.

Moesha prepares for the homecoming dance but ""friends"" Moesha and Hakeem soon start to realize that the depth of their friendship may be reaching a new and unexpected level. Meanwhile, Myles disappoints Frank after selling the comic books that Frank handed down to him for his birthday.

With Dee sick in bed, Moesha finds herself in a fierce Thanksgiving cooking competition with Mrs. Campbell. Also, Dorians mother visits, but Dorian believes that she likes adjusting to her new life without him.

Dorian protests the elimination of the girls basketball team from the school budget to impress one of the players. Meanwhile, Moesha is having trouble in her chemistry class and is too proud to ask Niecy (who receives an ""A"" in the class) for help.

Frank gets a call from his odd-ball aunt Hattie, announcing that she is in town and would like to visit the family. While Hakeem drops by to announce that hes been accepted to California University, Moesha tells the family that she will be moving because a dorm on campus has become available. Aunt Hattie surprisingly stops by that evening. After not seeing the family for years, she mistakes Dorian for Myles. Moesha clears up the mistaken identity. Aunt Hattie then congratulates Frank on finally bringing his son home. Her faux pas sends shock waves through the room since Frank has kept a lid on his secret all of Dorians life. Frank has no choice but to explain that he and Marguerite were having some problems. He had an affair that resulted in Dorians birth. His sister, Sandy, agreed to adopt Dorian. She and Frank would tell him the truth when he turned 18 years old. Consequently, Moesha criticizes her father because he was unfaithful to their mother. Dee expresses her deep sense of b

Frank is the honoree at a Businessman of the Year banquet, but the tribute loses its luster when he learns that Moesha and Dorian dont want to go. After receiving vital advice, Moesha comes to her senses and forgives her father.

Musical guest: DMX Moesha and Niecy go on a trip to Santa Barbara for their first spring break, but Moesha and Niecys awaited trip is interrupted by the presences of two college students named Alicia and Joy who both end up in the same hotel room as Mo and Niecy after the hotel accidentally over-booked them. After Alicia sees Moesha dancing with her ex-boyfriend Rodney, she spreads a rumor that Moesha slept around in Santa Barbara. Meanwhile, Dorian has trouble writing a history paper but plans to pass by using one of Mos old papers.

Dorian spends a weekend with Moesha, and all the residents in her dorm are robbed except for her who draws a conclusion that puts them at odds. Meanwhile, Myles doesnt appreciate his friends comments about how ""good"" Dee looks.

Moesha is faced with the dilemma of going on tour with Q or staying at home with her family and boyfriend Hakeem. But Moesha and Hakeem have an argument over the fact that Hakeem only wants Mo to stay home so that she wont have to go on tour with Q. Hurt over the fact that her boyfriend Gabe broke up with her, Niecy finds comfort from Hakeem. But they get caught up in the moment and share a kiss, just as Moesha enters the room. Stunned and hurt, Moesha takes Q up on his offer and leaves with him for New York. Meanwhile, Dorians involvement with Patience gets him in over his head, forcing Frank to make a tough decision by enrolling him into a boot camp.

Moesha returns from New York with a secret that she wants to keep from her parents, while Hakeem and Niecy attempt to make amends with her. Meanwhile, Dorian is still trying to earn Franks trust.

Moesha cant stand the nasty and rude habits of her suite mates Niecy, Alicia and Brenda. So she tries to organize a meeting to establish ""the rules,"" but a nearby appearance by the singing group Boyz II Men hurts attendance. Meanwhile, Dee returns home from Jamaica but has to break the news to the family that shes decided to stay in Jamaica full-time to work on her education-consulting job.

When Frank and Dorian leave on a road trip to Las Vegas, Myles is sent to stay in Moeshas dorm where he develops a crush on Alicia. But Alicia lets Myles believe that she likes him and uses Myles to run errands for her. Meanwhile, Frank and Dorian, on their way to Las Vegas, try to resolve their conflicting issues toward each other.

NAACP president Kweisi Mfume visits Moeshas campus to address to students about the importance of voting. When Moeshas former Girl Scout leader gives a speech on her candidacy for city council, Moesha, Hakeem, Niecy and Jerome are convinced to help her campaign. But when her interaction with Hakeem proves contrary to her projected image, the volunteers are forced with a tough decision. Meanwhile, when a mother of Myles classmate finds out that Dee is out of town, she wastes no time making her move on Frank until neighbor and good friend Nikki Parker steps in. Also, Moesha accidentally tells Hakeem that shes engaged to Q.

After a three-month separation, Q comes to visit Moesha, along with Khalib, for Thanksgiving. Dees father, Arthur Loving, visits as well and brings along with him his grudge towards Frank. As Moesha and Q make up for time spent apart, Q makes an odd request involving her engagement ring. (Q needs the ring to help finance some new rap group hes producing.) Khalib advises his help and concern for Moesha and offers to lend them the money. But when Moesha tells Q the news, he overreacts; leading to the end of their engagement.

Hakeem gets his first apartment with roommate Jerome. Moesha and Niecy stop by and they all reminisce on the times theyve spent together from their teen years to adulthood, including Hakeems frequent visits to the Mitchells home, Kims obsession for him, and his romantic relationship with best friend/ex-girlfriend Moesha.

Moesha continues to help Dorian search for his birth mother. Hakeem thinks that Moesha shouldnt go digging up the past or shell be faced with the possibility of a painful past. She assures Hakeem that she realizes the consequences but wants to continue the search for Dorians sake. They notify a couple of women by the name of Barbara Lee. After tracking her down and learning that her actual name is Barbara Kennedy, Dorian becomes face-to-face with the woman who abandoned him. He learns that his mother also has a daughter, Reecy, and a son named Ray-Ray. When they all sit down and have a conversation, Barbara reveals some shocking news involving Moeshas mother, which Moesha cant accept. Angry and upset, Moesha leaves the apartment. Meanwhile, Frank is challenged to a race against Myless friends uncle. After winning the race, Franks celebration is ruined when he learns that Moesha has been searching for Dorians mother.

Dorian is the perfect son and Moesha is a vagabond when Mo ponders what would have happened if Frank stayed with Barbara.

Moesha, Hakeem and Niecy must help a troubled student named Rita who is contemplating suicide. Meanwhile, Dorian courts a ministers daughter.

Frank is not thrilled to learn that Dorian is cutting school to go to the beach--with an older woman; Moesha realizes that Hakeem is truly her muse.

The girlfriend of Dorians prison buddy is trying get a piece of his bands profits. Meanwhile, Hakeem asks Moesha to move in with him for the summer, throwing a wrench into her and Niecys plans of living together.
