Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up

With the world watching in anticipation, and her family eagerly awaiting a reunion, Gypsy Rose Blanchard is released from prison after serving eight and a half years for her role in the murder of her mother. In her first 12 hours of freedom, Gypsy is chased by paparazzi, threatened with a parole violation if she doesn’t leave the state of Missouri immediately, and reveals whether she has consummated her marriage. Gypsy’s first taste of freedom leaves her fearful of going back to prison.

During a whirlwind trip to New York City, Gypsy Rose comes face to face with her newfound celebrity status, but quickly starts to question if shes cut out for the spotlight. As the outpouring of love on social media suddenly gives way to hateful DMs and death threats, Gypsy tries to tune out the noise and focus instead on her journey towards self-acceptance and planning a wedding reception with Ryan.

Hoping to make their connection stronger, Gypsy and Ryan add to their family and adopt a puppy named Pixie; when Gypsy tells Mia that she may be pregnant, things in their lives take a turn and Mia begs Gypsy to do something about it; Ryan becomes enraged learning that Gypsy is telling not only her sister, but the world, about their sex life; for the first time ever, Gypsys ex-fiancé, Ken, is interviewed.

During Gypsys trip to Cut Off without Ryan, he sends her a text that sets their relationship into a downward spiral. Back in Lake Charles, Gypsy gets a call from her parole officer about social media sending her into a tailspin about going back to prison. Still reeling from their argument, Ryan and Gypsy go on a date to talk about their issues that ends with Ryan breaking down. After admitting shes in touch with Ken and needing some space from her relationship, Gypsy asks her family to help her get out of Lake Charles.

After an emotional separation from her husband Ryan and an impulsive reconnection with Ken, her ex-fiancé, Gypsy Rose Blanchard finds herself unexpectedly expecting just six months after her release from prison. Due to parole restrictions, a pregnant Gypsy will have to navigate two households--one in New Orleans with boyfriend Ken who has moved to New Orleans to pursue his dream of having a family; and one with Rod and Kristy, down the Bayou. On her path to motherhood, Gypsy will contend with the increasingly volatile world of social media and the continuing fears of Ken leaving her. But the biggest challenge will be to prove to everyone else and herself that she is capable of breaking the cycle of abuse from her mother with her own baby girl.

As Gypsy continues to struggle with the daily online hate she faces, she decides to brave hundreds of people in real life at a public speaking engagement; shes reminded that she may never escape the reason that shes in the spotlight, her crime.

As Gypsy and Ken wait for the results of their paternity test, the internet weighs in; to get a break from the scrutiny, Gypsy plans a "Babymoon" with the hope that she and Ken can inject a little passion back into their relationship.

As divorce day nears, Ryan surrenders to his feelings, and decides to message Gypsy that he misses her. Rather than reply, she and Bri share the messages publicly in the hopes it will quiet some of the online hate directed at Gypsy. But the negative public reaction is swift and Gypsy has a change of heart. She offers to meet Ryan in-person for the first time since she walked out on him. As divorce day arrives, Gypsy and Ryan are both left to reflect on their marriage, their feelings, and their actions leading up to the end.

As Gypsy and her boyfriend Ken countdown the final weeks until their baby Auroras due date, Ken decides to prepare a huge holiday feast for the Blanchard family to show his commitment to building a new vision of family for Gypsy.

When Ken learns of Gypsys plan to meet Ryan, with baby Aurora in tow, he puts his foot down and gives her an ultimatum. Not willing to put her family in jeopardy, Gypsy has to make a choice. Communication with Ryan crumbles as he reacts to the change in plans. Unsure of the best way forward, they both meet with their attorneys, and Ryan finds himself taking the paternity test in search of a definitive answer.
