Relic Hunter

Event: CHICAGO 1930 Sydney is persuaded to locate Al Capones diamond encrusted gun by the grandson of a man framed for murder 70 years ago, which he hopes will clear his grandfathers name. Sydney uncovers a lot more in a Chicago hotel formerly frequented by Capone, while Nigel gets interested of Lori. With Capones fabled lost bunker booby-trapped to keep its secrets, it takes a lot for Sydney, Nigel, and Lori to escape.

Event: CALIFORNIA 1846 Sydney and Nigel see an old photo of the Pioneers Bear Flag of California, believed to have been destroyed during the struggle to control the state in 1846. Tracking the flag to Larivee, California, they meet an old miner, Jake Whitney, claiming to know where the flag is. When Sydney and Nigel find him dead in an abandoned gold mine, they suspect that he was murdered while trying to capture the flag. They must unearth the banner before meeting Jakes fate.

Event: FENWAY PARK, BOSTON 1946 Arrogant baseball star Frank Newhouse hires Sydney to find the magical glove of former baseball great Jimmy Jonesboro, stolen more than 50 years ago. Sydney and Nigel track the glove to the sewers of pre-Revolutionary war Boston, while unwittingly being tailed by Sydneys former rival, Kurt Reiner.

Event: NORTHUMBRIAN COAST 935 A.D. Stewie Harper shows up at the university posing as a visiting professor. Hes got a lead on an ancient fortune but needs Sydneys expertise. Sydney, Nigel and Stewie head off to Sweden to find the pillaged booty of legendary Viking marauder Jann the Bold. But Stewies not telling the whole truth, which becomes clear after an encounter with the Swedish Society of Vikings, determined to stop them.

Event: ATHENS, GREECE 3000 B.C. Stavros dangles an ancient trinket in front of both Claudia and Sydney in Athens. Stavros claims that the marble charm is the key to the fabled Minotaurs Maze. Sydney, Nigel and Claudia land in the middle of a family feud between Stavros and his crime boss father, both wanting to find the Maze and its mythical ball of golden twine. With 2000-year-old blueprints, the hunt is on to unearth important archeological find and to make it through the legendary labyrinth alive.

Event: HUANG RIVER, CHINA 1000 B.C. Sydney and Nigel investigate a Chinese antiquity that washed ashore in Alaska, more than 3000 miles from its origin being lost over 3000 years. In legend a Chinese Emperor carved a sarcophagus for his bride, who wore a necklace of gold, even in death. But bandits raided the funeral and stole the coffin. In Moose Bay, Alaska, Sydney and Nigel find that two rival Relic Hunters and former beaus of Sydneys are on the case. Theyll have to outsmart the adventurers and a local intent if they want to return the relic to its rightful place.

Event: EGYPT 1895 Elizabeth Ruckeyser, the curator of New Yorks Crawford Institute, summons Sydney and Nigel to track down a ancient Egyptian relic, the sacred statue of the cat goddess Mafdet that Sydney found and returned once before. An age-old curse on the golden figurine claims that anyone who steals it will die by the claws of the cat. The hunt delves into Manhattans ring of art thieves, turning up dead bodies covered with marks. Is Mafdet seeking revenge, or is someone fulfilling the prophesy?

Event: BUDAPEST 1897 Magician Rex Rolands seeks out Sydneys expertise to locate a jewel-encrusted staff that belonged to the Hungarian royal family, Hungarys Cursed Scepter. The journal of a Scotland Yard investigator brings Sydney, Nigel and Rex to The Magic Mansion in Atlantic City. Someone on the inside clues into their search and is determined to stop Sydney and Nigel, while they navigate the mansions secret passageways, labyrinths and hidden chutes.

Event: PARIS, FRANCE CIRCA 1300 Sydney and Nigel are off to Paris to authenticate both the find and the legend behind, after monks deliver a Knights Templar medallion to Dr. Jaebert, curator at the French Institute of Antiquities. In 1307, the Grand Master of the Knights Templar, Jacques de Molay, trusted the future of the Templars to his aide by commanding him to hide sacred documents and the Grand Masters sword, believed to make the Grand Master invincible, from their enemies. Sydney and Nigel and an unlikely expert rush to puzzle the ancient clues together, before a greedy Relic Hunter can beat them.

Event: LIBYA 1300S Sydney and Nigel rush off to Brussels to search for Zeus sacred sundial, at the request of Sydneys old friend, author Eric Dalt. Eric is convinced that his girlfriend is a vampire descended from Zeus lover Lamia, a lamae. In Greek mythology, Hera turned Lamia into a serpent to keep her away from Zeus. Since, her descendants have mesmerized their men. The spell can only be broken by the great gods sundial. In Brussels, Sydney and Nigel discover lamae, one of whom has set her sights on Nigel. Sydney must take on the female coven - alone.

Sydneys grandmother Isabelles trunk of things sparks a trip into the past for Sydney, whos been fascinated with Isabelle who once sang at Paris Moulin Rouge. Falsely accused of stealing a locket actually given to her by her lover, Isabelle lost everything. Her paramour, Philip Ashcroft, believed to be an English secret agent, smuggled a tiara, the Heart of Europe, out of Russia, but was murdered in Paris before it could be delivered. It was never recovered. Setting out to find the locket and clear Isabelles name, mission uncovers clues to an international intrigue, turning into a dangerous hunt for a relic.

Event: TEMPLE OF KALI INDIA 500 AD After he bludgeons his assistant beyond recognition, anthropologist Fredrick Terrace is convinced that the dagger of Kali, the Indian goddess of destruction, made him do it. Sydney and Nigel head for Calcutta to recover its jeweled scabbard, believing that sheathing the blade will harness its mesmerizing power. In India, theyll have to infiltrate the deadly cult of Kali to ensure the blade never strikes again.

Event: VANUATU ISLANDS 4800 B.C. Government agent Derek Lloyd, who tricked Sydney and Nigel into a mission once before, lures Sydney to New Guinea by kidnapping Nigel. Sydney and Nigel dont believe that the spy is on a goodwill mission, but are seduced by the possibility of rediscovering a lost civilization, the Kai Nomata, an ancient tribe believed to have been destroyed by a volcano thousands of years ago. When the need-to-know details are revealed, Sydney and Nigel dont know who or what to believe.

Event: ROMANIA 1830 Sydney receives a mysterious package after her old friend, Garrett Burke, is killed in Bucharest, sent before his death. Burke was hunting an ancient gypsy treasure, the Crown of Roma, when a Relic Hunters worst nightmare, the Vulture, fatally intervened. With authentic Tarot cards and Claudias expertise on the subject, Sydney, Nigel and Claudia go to Romania to ensure that Burke didnt die for nothing.

Event: ROME 44 BC Sydneys colleague Professor Penrose has a lead on Caesars breastplate, believed to render the wearer invincible, and heads for Rome to have an ancient text translated. Claudia rushes to the airport to deliver pages he left behind, and follows a stranger carrying the professors document tube all the way to Italy. Sydney and Nigel try to catch her, believing Claudia is in mortal danger.

Event: BURMA THE BRITISH-BURMESE WAR 1824 To rescue a relic-hunting team hired by billionaire entrepreneur Rod Thorson to locate an ancient sacrificial bowl, Sydney, Nigel and Thorson parachute into the Myanmar jungle. The crews last video transmission of a figure ravaging the campsite does not bode well. Hoping to find the crew alive, as well as the worlds oldest recorded religious artifact, they uncover a living link to mans savage ancestor, homo heidelbergensis.

Event: ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA 1886 Sydney knows shes putting her life on the line, when she agrees to a sting operation orchestrated by Interpol agent Cate Hemphill. But before the sting begins, shes snatched by an unseen assailant, and its up to Cate, Nigel and Claudia to pinpoint a suspect. Between rival Relic Hunters and enemies made on Sydneys adventures, the three have to rescue her before its too late.

Event: MISSISSIPPI VALLEY 1605 Sydneys graduate student Adam Grant unearths a lead on the never found but most famous of all Native American artifacts: the legendary Eyes of Toklamanee. Adams research takes him and Sydney to St. Louis, Missouri, and to the construction site of the citys newest subway line. With a archeologist to verify that construction wont destroy anything of historical significance, it looks like the lead is a dead end.

Event: CHURCH OF CORDIERS SALON, FRANCE 1600 Sydney and Nigel are thrown into an international intrigue, when one of Nostradamus prophecies predicts that a Fox will stop a royal assassination. Sydney and Nigel must crack the prophets cryptic code to identify the assassin in time, armed only with need to know information and a 16th century riddle.

Event: GERMANIA CIRCA 400 A.D. Sydneys old friend from the Louvre Museum begs to join the hunt for a ruby-encrusted scepter once wielded by Gunther the Brave. They discover afterwards that this ""friend"" has quit his job and sold the recovered relic for a profit. It is up to Sydney and Nigel to recover the scepter before the buyer takes a midnight flight under the cover of diplomatic immunity.

Event: TOWER OF LONDON 1536 Nigels older brother and a curator at the British Museum, Preston, uncovers a riddle by Henry VIII that may lead to the wedding ring of Anne Boleyn. Preston re-ignites a sibling rivalry with Nigel, when he calls Sydney for help. The brothers competition becomes deadly serious and Nigel discovers that his former lover, Amanda, is also on the hunt and romantically involved with Preston.

Event: JERUSALEM 1099 A.D. THE FIRST CRUSADE Allan has been blackmailed by a collector into finding the worlds first Christian cross. It is believed to grant its possessor eternal salvation. The collector has also infected Allan with a deadly virus using the antidote as an extra incentive. Sydney and Nigel must help Allan find and deliver the Cross of Tau and get him the antidote in twelve hours.

Event: BALI, INDONESIA 1459 A.D. After recovering an artifact in Bali, Sydney meets an old friend, Gray, and decides to remain there on vacation with him while Nigel heads back to the states. Unfortunately, another old ""friend"", intrepid CIA agent Derek Lloyd, is in Bali seeking a relic: a bowl that will reveal the users true love. He wants to recover it so the U.S. government can give it to the Indonesians to win political points, but the Chinese are also looking for it. Sydney is forced to step out on Gray repeatedly, unable to resist the urge to go looking for another relic. She and Derek manage to find it, but Gray has always been captured by the Chinese agent. Syd manages to beat up the agent and recover the bowel for the U.S. Gray appears to realize that hunting relics will always come first for her, but thats still no reason they cant be romantically involved.

Event: ARABIA 843 A.D. A man preparing to shoot one of Sydneys students is killed by a mysterious assassin...who turns out to be the bodyguard to the student, Prince Shareem. Shareem is looking for the Light of Truth, a lamp that reveals the true nature of anyone who holds it. Sydney refuses it, so Shareem ducks his bodyguard Yusef and hires Relic Hunter Frank Kafka to find it. Shareems uncle Hosni wants Sydney to find it. Also, Sydney and Kafka have a history: Kafka blames Sydney for the loss of his left hand. Sydney and Nigel go off after Shareem, who is at a dig being run by Kafka. Kafka plans to mislead Shareem, find the lamp, and kill the Prince. He and Sydney duke it out and Kafka ends up falling into a deep pit. Sydney then finds the lamp and Shareem uses it to test the loyalty of Yusef and Hosni. Yusef passes, but Hosni is revealed as being a traitor. Satisfied, Shareem gives the lamp to Sydney for the museum. However, as the episode ends we see that Kafka is still alive...

Event: PALACE OF THE TALIBS, ENDOSTAN 1423 A.D. Sydney and Nigel travel to the Middle East to meet an old friend of Sydneys, who is now a queen, only to discover that she has died in a mysterious accident. Assassins are still after the sultan, who Sydney rescues. The queen was looking for the Star of Nadir, which is a token of true rulership. If the Sultan has it, he can put down the various conservative Arabic factions united against him. Until then, he has commited his daughter Alia to marriage with Jamal, the son of Hakim Mustafa, one of the leading conservatives. Alia has other plans, much to Hakims distaste for a non-traditionally acting woman. Alia, Sydney, and Nigel go looking for the Star, and discover that the castle head of security was the one responsible for the death of the queen, and has been working in cahoots with Hakim. They find the Star and get taken prisoner by the head of security, but Sydney gets the upper hand. Jamal turns against his father, who is forced to g

Event: CENTRAL AMERICA 1488 A.D. Sydney and Nigel are in Central America with a guide, Carlos, tyring to get into an Aztec pyramid. They succeed and recover a ruby-eyed statue. Carlos betrays them, tying them up and taking the statue. They manage to get free and go after him, only to find him dead, and the opened box nearby. They take the box and try to escape by train, but Carlos was working with mercenaries who also want the statue. A thief on the train tries to steal the statue and also ends up dead. Sydney belives the statue has a curse and vows to take it back to the pyramid. With the aid of the NSA man who gave her the coordinates, she and Nigel get back. The head of the mercenaries tries to take the devil doll but ends up dead as well, as a ghostly image of an Aztec priest rears up. Sydney seals the doll within the pyramid once more.

Event: GREECE 800 B.C. Sydney is grabbed by mysterious men, who lock a necklace on her. The next morning, under the influence of Carson Inez, she declares an indefinite leave of absence and departs for Greece with Inez. Karen and Nigel are shocked, and Nigel soon ascertains that the amulet has mind-control powers. He travels to Greece, where he finds that Sydney is willingly helping Carson to locate the tomb of Athena. Despite his best efforts, Sydney remains under Carsons thrall. Nigel is captured and reluctantly helps the two women. He later escapes, and Carson and Sydney make a try for the statue. Sydney realizes something is amiss and during moments of clarity manage to inscribe the incantation that binds the necklace wearer. Sent to kill Nigel, she manages to get it to him and he frees her. They capture Carson and avoid her men by putting her under the necklaces control.

Event: SOUTHEAST ASIA 1075 A.D. Sydney is out in the field looking for a relic while accompanied by a womens talk show hostess and her cameraman. Nigel and Karen are back at the office. Sydney is entering a temple when rebels in the local Gamora Heights district stage a rebellion. The men are after foreigners. Sydney and the others take refuge in the temple, while Nigel and Karen collaborate with the shows producer back home to try and get aid to Sydney. Sydney manages to get into the temple, but the rebels trap her and the others there. They make a makeshift flare, send up a signal, and the government troops arrive to rescue them. They find out that the soldiers never saw the flare, and it was due to Nigels intervention back in the States that they were rescued.

Event: CAMBODIA 1952 While waiting to meet with Professor Cho in Cambodia, Sydney and Nigel are hijacked by Masters, a demolition expert who takes them to meet with Sydneys nemesis Fabrice De Viega (from ""Sydney at Ten""). De Viega wants them to help him recover an urn containing the ashes of Confuscius, located in an underground chamber beneath a mine field that is about ready to be bombed in four hours. To assure their cooperation, De Viega has had Karen kidnapped. Masters helps Nigel escape a mine but is then killed by another booby-trap. With their expert gone, the three take to a stream to bypass the mine field and get to the underground tunnels. They get hold of the urn but when Deviega ends up on the wrong side of a pitfall with time running out, Sydney forces him to send the signal to free Karen in return for helping him escape. Karen is freed, and Sydney and Nigel manage to escape long enough to take refuge in an abandoned tank as the mine field is detonated by the bombing whi

Event: ARCTIC CIRCLE 1355 A.D. Sydney and Nigel are called to an Antarctic research base. Traveling there with a mechanic and an accountant (actually a secret NIA agent), they find the corpses of the research team scattered everywhere. It turns out the researchers had found a frozen Anasazi Indian, who became extinct for unknown reasons. They find one survivor, Eleanor. They discover that the Anasazi mummy is infected with a virus that causes outbreaks of violent insanity (and which wiped out the Anasazi), but Eleanor has a natural immunity. While Nigel and Eleanor try to contain the virus using cold, they discover another survivor, Rollin Harley, who thawed out the Anasazi to profit from the virus and is willing to kill. He murders the two men and traps Sydney on the surface, but she manages to get back into the base. Syd and Nigel manage to take out Harley.

Event: ROYAL PALACE, MADRID 1808 Nigel is making time with a beautiful young student, Lorraine, with an interest in relic hunting in the office when Sydney is hit over the head by a thief, who steals her wallet and crossbow. The duo heads to Madrid to track down the crown jewels of Charles IV, only to find that the professor they were going to meet with is dead...killed with Sydneys crossbow. Framed as criminals, they quickly discover they were impersonated by Lorraine (actually Rayna) and Raoul. The latter killed the professor without Raynas knowledge, and are now on the track of the crown jewels. After ducking the police, Sydney and Nigel catch up with Rayna and Raoul. Raoul takes Nigel hostage to lead him to the jewels and leaves Rayna and Sydney behind, handcuffed together. They manage to free themselves and stop Raoul as he grabs the jewels. Rayna is apparently tempted to join back up with him, but knocks him over the head and turns herself in.

Event: BEKKASTAN, 1401 A.D. A horse rider asserts her right and ability to lead the clan seated upon a remarkable saddle. Back in the present, Sydney and Nigel uncover a wall-painting of the female rider. Just as they are about to study it, a sound comes from outside and Syd dashes out to find someone stealing their horses. She grabs one horse and pursues the theif leaving Nigel with his camera, laptop and little water in the middle of nowhere. Syd catches up with the theif but is knocked out fighting with him. After an anxious wait for Syds return, Nigel phones Karen and sets off on foot. Syd befriends the theif who turns out to be the twin brother of the leader of a tribe of horse people. Nigel passes out in the desert and is rescued by the aforementioned sister who enlists his help to find the saddle so she can prove her right to lead her people. Syd and the horse theif chap (with whom she has formed a bond) set off in search of the saddle, pausing briefly to sneak into the c

Event: STONEHENGE, ENGLAND 121 A.D. Sydney is plagued by dreams of De Viega as they meet with a druidic expert in England to get hold of a map leading to Druid astronomicon - the ""keys to Stonehenge"". But its a fake Watson, as Karen discovers. He wants them to steal the map to the astronomicon from the secret society De Viega worked for, the Garal Natash (sic). ""Watson"" is actually Fabrices son Andres, who reveals his father is alive but facially scarred. They find a coded blade but need the scabbard to solve the code. Andres leads them to his father, who offers to help them against the Garal NaTash to save his son. Andres is captured, and Fabrice bargains with the scabbard for his sons life after they use it to solve the code. While Sydney and Nigel go for the hidden site, Fabrice is captured by his society and tries to reconcile with his son. He then trades his life for his sons. Sydney and Nigel avoid the goons and recover the keys to the astronomicon. At the end someone lea
