As Jordan remains in a coma, Simon is hailed a local hero. However, when DS Evans begins investigating the assault, she quickly spies holes in his story. Simons wife Beth starts to develop her own suspicions.

Simon takes matters into his own hands, threatening his old boss Jimmy to fast-track his redundancy payment. Meanwhile, DS Evans follows up a call Simon made the night before the attack, threatening a local youth.
