Martin Clunes: Islands of the Pacific

In Vanuatu, Martin climbs an active volcano and meets a tribe who worship Prince Philip. In Tonga, the presenter meets a third gender leiti and a princess. And in Fiji he visits an island singer and a tribe tricked out of their homeland by a British mining company.

Martin travels to Papua New Guinea to experience life among the subsistence farmers of the Trobriand Islands. Next, he visits the volcanic isle of New Britain, where hes reminded of the fragility of island existence in the Pacific Ocean.

Martin travels to Guam to see the effect of invasive species on remote islands and discovers animals driven to the edge of extinction. In Palau, he learns about marine conservation and meets the endangered hawksbill turtle and the rare dugong.
