T. J. Hooker

With a crime-wave sweeping the city, a new Police programme has been formed to fast-track recruits to get them patrolling on the streets, and its up to tough veteran cop Sergeant T.J. Hooker to bring them up to scratch. Trying to cope with his recent divorce and money problems, Hooker struggles with a job that he cant get away from. Meanwhile, the spate of crimes, including robbery, murder and a sniper is quickly getting out of hand. Only Hooker can train the eager but inexperienced young recruits as he leads them in bringing peace back to the streets, but the pursuit of the two murderous armed robbers at the head of the crime-wave inevitably leads to an explosive confrontation...

When a school-mate of Hookers daughter is found dead, after being pumped full of drugs and pushed off a roof after threatening to expose a drug runners racket, Hooker realises that it could just as easily have been his daughter, and is determined to nab the culprits...

An attractive young woman witnesses a murder, but her married boss dissuades her from going to the Police in fear that it will uncover their affair. Hooker must try and persuade the frightened girl to help them and testify against the psychotic killer, but the murderer intends to see that she never makes it that far...

The latest in a series of armed robberies on super-markets leaves a young cashier possibly paralysed when the thieves take her hostage and then push her from their speeding car to slow up the pursuing cops. The cars used by the robbers are specially modified "hill racers", leading to the local hill racing champion, an old friend of Hookers, being wrongly arrested as the prime suspect. Hooker must prove his innocence by speeding after the real culprits...

When two thugs rob a cinema box office, leaving the cashier seriously wounded, a passing woman is the only witness. Hooker tries to question her on what she saw, only to find that she is blind. Not only that, she is very reluctant to co-operate, and Hooker must work hard to change her mind. Meanwhile, the two armed robbers, planning their next big box office heist on an upcoming Beach Boys concert, are unaware that the woman has no sight, and intend to see that she isnt around to give the Police their discriptions...

When a highly-trained sniper takes out a patrol cars front tyre, sending it crashing off the highway, the tactics used suggest to Hooker and Romano that the attacker is an ex-Vietnam war veteran gone bad, who has made the hit as practice for a bigger strike. But the culprit is closer to home than they expect, and is planning to turn an upcoming visit by the Mayor to the LCPD headquarters into a nightmare, with his own little war-zone...

After a security guard is shot down when trying to stop a diamond vault robbery, the investigating detective is determined to prove that the guard had taken a bribe from the robbers and wants to nail him for aiding the thieves. The guard is an old friend of Hookers who knows that his friend wouldnt have been involved. As he and Romano investigate to find out the true circumstances it seems as if the detective is willing to go to any lengths, including blackmail, to see that he is covered in glory for his busts and quickly fly through the ranks...

Hooker and Romano get caught up in the dispute between an independent trucker and the ruthless wholesaler who is sabotaging the truckers operations. Against the wishes of his superiors, Hooker insists that he intervene in the situation before the truckers tire against the lack of action taken against the saboteurs, and become vigilantes to deal with things themselves. A new female Police commissioner who doesnt agree with Hookers methods does not exactly help matters...

After a fatal drink-driving crash, Hooker and Romano set out to track down the gang who are making liquor robberies and then selling it to local youths. But Romano has a personal concern in the case when he finds out that the gifted son of a deceased friend from his time serving in Vietnam has fallen into the disreputable company of the gang...

The latest victim of a serial murderer known as the ""Surfside Killer"" turns out to be a police officer. Stacy, a close friend of the murdered girl, fits the description of each of the killers victims - young blonde females, and volenteers herself to work undercover to try and draw out the murderer. But Hooker does not have faith in the way the operation has been organised, and vows to watch over and protect Stacy himself...

Hooker and Romano are just finishing working on a case with Lt. Paul McGuire, a close friend and colleague of Hookers, when they respond to a reported rape - in which the victim turns out to be none other than McGuires own daughter. The girl is certain that she knows the attacker and can identify him, but the attacker, a lawyer, uses legal loopholes to get off without charge. As Hooker tries to nail the attacker ""by the book"", McGuire becomes infuriated at the lack of action taken and takes matters into his own hands, endangering not only his job, but Hookers case that will bring the attacker to justice in the proper way...

When Hooker and Romano spot a cocaine deal taking place and intervene, they are surprised to find that the supplier is a family man with no prior convictions. With the help of an old flame of Hookers, a reformed gambling addict, they uncover a crooked gambling club owners scheme that involves having members run up huge debts on rigged games, and then forcing them to make drug deliveries to help pay off the money they owe...

After Hooker and Romano foil an armed robbery committed by a family of robbers, which leaves the father wounded in hospital and the daughter held in custody, the two sons take the hospital wing with their father on siege, holding Hookers ex-wife Fran, Stacy, a little girl urgently needing heart surgery, and a whole floor of patients hostage...

Hooker holds himself personally to blame when a female rookie cop that he trained is seriously wounded in a confrontation with a pair of fleeing gun-shop robbers. With the officer needing her leg amputated as a result of the wound, Hooker and Romano, with help from Stacy and Corrigan, investigate the gun thieves, who are selling their hauls to a back-street crime baron...

When a young female singer, whom Hooker has got cleaned up on a drug reform programme, is kidnapped, Stacy goes to work undercover as an exotic dancer at the club that they suspect to be a front for a white slavery ring that is dealing in attractive young women...

Hooker and Romano, with Stacy and Corrigan, catch the thief of a freshly stolen car, but in the cars trunk, they find the body of a teenage girl. With the coroners report revealing that the girl was a heavy cocaine user and had had a recent, crudely-operated abortion, they find themselves uncovering a racket that is getting young girls hooked on drugs and then leading them into making underage porn movies to pay for their addiction...

When an undercover armed robbery stake-out is bungled, leaving a cop wounded in hospital, Hooker becomes concerned that a veteran cops heavy drinking was the cause of the stake-outs failure. As he hunts for the armed robbers who are targeting night-clubs, Hooker becomes more and more worried that his fellow officer is an alcoholic, and is not only endangering police operations, but himself and everyone around him...

Responding to the alert of an armed super-market robbery, Romano and another Officer are wounded when one of the robbers opens fire at them. Romano blames a female Officer on the scene, who he believes to be guilty of cowardice in stopping the shooting, but with contradicting accounts of just what happened in the incident, Hooker angers Romano and several Officers when he announces he is to act as defence for the Officer in the upcoming trial. The move jeopardises both Hooker and Romanos partnership and their friendship, and the fact that the Officer had previously been brought up on a similar charge does not help her case; but was she actually the one to blame on this occasion?...

When a pimp who has escaped charge on a technicality is shot dead, Hooker and Romano are on the alert for a vigilante group. But when a prostitute who witnessed the killing tells them that the killers were cops, it becomes apparent that two officers from an adjoining Police precinct are taking the law into their own hands...

Despite being undercover dressed as Santa Claus, Hooker is finding it hard to get into the Yuletide cheer faced with his first Christmas away from Fran and the children; Stacy too, is low on Christmas spirit, after splitting up with her boyfriend. The Christmas blues set in even deeper when a drug stakeout doesnt go to plan, allowing the main target to get away. Later, after Stacy witnesses an armed hold-up by a man and woman connected with the wanted dealer, the woman is forced to abandon her young baby at a local church. As they try and get a lead on the offenders, Stacy looks after the young baby, but Hooker, Corrigan and Romano become concerned that she may be coming to attached to it too want to give it back...

Hooker, Romano, Stacy and Corrigan are involved in an undercover operation to nail a large cocaine dealing ring, when a highly respected fellow officer is killed, execution-style, by the ring, who are on to him. Tracking down one of the thugs involved, Romano is badly injured by a gun-shot wound, before Hooker captures the goon, who gives the lead of a crooked bail-bondsman who is involved with the dealing. Against the wishes of a DEA, Hooker and Corrigan go undercover as drug dealers, with Stacy posing as one of their carriers, to infiltrate the dangerous ring via the bail-bondsman and catch them in the act...

A planned bust on crime lord Frank Dio results in an informant of Corrigans being shot dead, and Dio facing getting off charge after he manages to discard the gun, but held in custody for 72 hours, giving Hooker time to try and dig up enough evidence to put him behind bars. Following up the lead of Dios former girlfriend, a prostitute, Hooker promises to put her in protective custody until the hearing and to be given a new identity after if she agrees to testify against Dio. The girl reluctantly agrees to testify, and while Stacy takes care of her young sister, Hooker must go all out to keep her alive, shielding her from the attempts on her life by Dios men, but a security leak within the force makes keeping the girls whereabouts a secret impossible...

A worker from the Police precinct is attacked and raped, the latest in a series of rapes and robberies where none of the victims are able to identify their attacker. Investigating, Hooker and co. find that all the victims had prior been visited by a telephone repair man, information which enables them to track down the prime suspect, who ends up being killed as the result of pursuit. But Hooker fears that the dead man was actually the attackers apprentice and not the actual attacker – a fear that is proven when the attacks continue...

A renowned psychic is teamed up with Hooker to find the whereabouts of a kidnapped young girl, using visions of the girls whereabouts that the woman keeps seeing; but even before the pair have met, the she keeps having a recurring dream about Hookers death. Hooker has little belief in the womans psychic abilities and how they can help locate the young girl, and is even more sceptical about her visions of his fate; but the more the pair work together, the more the womans visions become realised - and the closer Hookers predicted fate looms to come true...

On night patrol, Hooker and Romano follow the trail of a pair of graffiti vandals to a department store, only to find the store guard dead and themselves unwittingly stumbling onto a gun robbery from the stores sports department. With their patrol car stolen by the graffiti vandals and the stores phones cut, the pair take on the thieves with no back-up, leading to a gun-fight with the trio of robbers which leaves Romano badly wounded by a gun-blast. Both sides trapped in the confines of the department store floor, the battle of wits climaxes with Hooker and the psychotic leader of the robbers trapped together in a store elevator, in a guns-drawn test of will...

Hooker and Romano by chance spot a van swerving dangerously over the road – in which a pair of teenage prostitutes are being held against their will by two men. When the van crashes off the road, they find one of the girls dead after being strangled – the latest victim in a series of killings by ""The Boulevard Strangler"" and his accomplice, who are prying on young runaways. Hooker finds that the surviving girl has run away after being abused at home, and leads a double life – a perfect high-school student, and as a prostitute. But now the girl is in danger with the killers after her, who are concerned that she can identify them in the murder of the other girl... Meanwhile, Corrigan considers leaving the force to take a job teaching...

While on a prostitution sting, Hooker spots veteran vice officer Daniels car parked outside a motel, and goes to investigate just as the officer is shot by an assassin. Both the gun-man and the prostitute Daniels was meeting with flee the scene, and the officers superior reports that Daniels wasnt there on Police business, and whats more, was found with money suggesting that hed been taking bribes. But Hooker is adamant that the veteran officer is innocent of the accusations, and has two days before the funeral to clear the officers name and find out what he was really doing at the motel. The girl Daniels was meeting with holds the key to the true circumstances, and Hooker forces her ex-roommate, a reluctant, wise-cracking ex-prostitute, into helping him track the down. But the girl is hiding in fear from the dangerous porno producer who was involved with the officers shooting...

Hooker and Romano are on patrol when their car is hit with a chemical based fire-bomb, which leaves Romano blinded. With Romano in hospital and facing permanent loss of sight, his girlfriend Maggie, a fellow Officer, takes his place as Hookers partner as they investigate who was behind the attack and why. Unbeknown to them, a recently released convict, whos deceased cell-mate was put away by Hooker, has hired a chemical genius to wipe Hooker out, but the attempts on Hookers life have deadly consequences for Maggie...

While on a stake-out to capture a strangler who is killing homeless women, Corrigan receives a blow to the head while struggling with a suspect, leaving him with a concussion which triggers sudden, unexpected bouts of enraged behaviour. But the suspect Corrigan took on isnt in fact the strangler, and with the real killer still on the loose, Hooker and the team must track him down before he strikes again. Corrigans refusal to acknowledge his condition doesnt exactly help matters...

Romano, celebrating his new Porsche sports car, takes Hooker out for a night at a dance club, but the car is stolen, hitting a gypsy king as it speeds away. The injured man and his 10-year-old niece have been tracking the thieves trying to recover stolen automobile parts, but they refuse to give any information to the Police. The next day, the man is murdered, but the niece once again refuses to talk. Hooker reluctantly releases the girl into the custody of her older sister, hoping that she might open up to her about the killing, but the young gypsy girl is determined to avenge her uncles death...

After a woman in a troubled marriage, whom Hooker meets in a bar, is fatally stabbed, he notices a similarity with three other cases, and a pattern emerges that all of the women had phoned in to a relationship therapists call-in radio show before they were murdered. Convinced that the connection to the radio station is the key to the killings, he tries to persuade the shows therapist to help him track down the killer, but she is very reluctant, worrying that the bad publicity will stop callers to her show... During the investigation, Stacy and Corrigan rescue a young baby and its mother from a brutal attack stirs feelings between them...

The shooting of a masseuse girl in Chinatown convinces Hooker that a Vietnamese crime mob is operating in the area and trying to take over the districts message parlours. With information from a Vietnamese girlfriend of Corrigans, Romano goes undercover at the parlour in the middle of the trouble as an outcall driver, while Stacy works as one of the massage girls; but when Stacys cover is roused, Hooker must race to save her...

An attractive woman named Teri, whom Hooker meets when giving a speeding ticket, finds that her friend has been robbed and raped, and herself is attacked when she unwittingly stumbles onto the scene, until Hooker comes to the rescue. She aids him as they try to identify the violent gang behind the attacks, and in their together, they quickly fall in love, but things take a nasty turn when the gang track Teri down and badly attack and rape her. The result of the attack takes its toll on her and Hookers relationship, and causes Corrigan, Stacy and Romano to become concerned that Hookers fierce pursuit of the gang is being clouded by personal feelings and the want for revenge...

Corrigan and Stacy stop a car for speeding, only to have the trio inside open fire on them with automatic weapons, badly wounding Corrigan. Hooker and Romano are first on the scene, and the trio, who comprise of a woman who is a convicted murdered and two men who have broken her out of prison, take sanctuary in a nearby church, with Stacy and the seriously injured Corrigan as hostages. With the church surrounded with SWAT Officers, Hooker must try and negotiate not only with the gun-happy thugs, who are demanding a safe passage to Mexico, but also reason with the churchs priest, also a hostage, who has beliefs that he is determined to stick to, not matter what the circumstances...

Hookers investigation into a series of gristly murders by a pair of religious crazies is accompanied by Sergeant Leigh Stockwell, a close, old friend, whom is somewhat his protégé. But Stacy becomes suspicious that Leigh is using cocaine, an addiction which not only jeopardises the case and Leighs job, but also Hookers life...

After an armed box office heist where the robbers escape on motorcycles leaves Hooker and Romanos patrol car destroyed by a bomb and a young man dead, Hooker and the team are on the look out for an infamous criminal named Willie Donovan, whom Corrigan has a grudge against after the collapse of a previous investigation. But a shoot-out with Donovan which leaves Donovan dead, a gun from the robbery room of Corrigans previous Police department, and an exaggerated report of Police brutality from a informant all mount up to Corrigan being assigned to desk duty while he is investigated. Hooker intends to prove Corrigans innocence, while putting a stop to the series of robberies...

When Hooker and Stacy take Hookers children for a trip to the beach, a minor fire distracts Hooker long enough for Chrissie to disappear. She has been kidnapped by bitter ex-cop Marty Latham, who was struck from the force and ultimately sentenced to prison after becoming involved with The Mob. Latham will only return Chrissie if Hooker finds the whereabouts of his family, who cut contact with him and disappeared while he was serving time...

After an off-duty Officer is shot dead in a grocery store, Hooker – an old friend of the familys – promises the dead mans wife and son to find the culprit. A case in which the deceased Officers partner sent a criminal to prison on a false testimony may be the key to the killing; but all the time, the killer has his next target in his sights... Meanwhile, Hooker looks into the recent murder of a local prostitute, only to discover that the two cases are linked...

The State Department asks Hookers help in tracking down a man whom he served alongside in Vietnam - a disillusioned, mentally unstable trained executioner – who is planning to assassinate the head of a visiting Russian trade delegation...

When Hooker, Stacy and Corrigan aid in the stake-out of a money counterfeiting operation, Corrigan accidentally shoots dead an informant in the crossfire, while the head of the ring escapes. The shooting leaves a remorseful Corrigan questioning his choice of career, something that deepens even more when he is later forced to shoot a man involved with the counterfeiting ring who takes a hostage. The two fatal shootings leave the veteran Officer seriously considering leaving the force and taking a job offered to him by the woman he may choose to spend the rest of his life with. As the hunt for the counterfeiters continues, Hooker and Stacy try to convince him otherwise...

Corrigan and Stacy respond to a seemingly trivial call about an illegally parked vehicle, only to stumble onto an armed robbery of a check-cashing outlet. As Corrigan calls for back-up, Stacy intervenes in the robbery to stop a man from being shot, only to taken hostage by the trio of armed thieves. With Stacy held prisoner by the robbers, the head of the trio rapidly develops an ""obsession"" for her, much to the aggravation of his girl-friend, who is also one of the theives. As Hooker and Corrigan search for Stacy and the thieves, they risk taking on the might of City Hall when it becomes apparent that the father of one of the trio is involved in the Mayors re-election campaign and is prepared to pull strings to keep the whole case quiet. Meanwhile, the trios leaders obsession with Stacy continues to grow – and it is the only thing that is keeping her from being killed...

Pursuing a gang of robbers, Stacy receives a mild concussion in a shoot-out, and after being discharged from hospital, decides to take a break to go and visit her sister. But driving through a fierce thunderstorm and still in a slightly dazed state, she is involved in a minor road accident which leaves her with amnesia, and is taken in by a passing motorist who claims to be a local doctor. Meanwhile, Hooker and Corrigan become concerned at Stacys sudden disappearance, and investigate a break out from a mental hospital where two dangerous patients have escaped - and unbeknown to them, one of the escapees is the man posing as the doctor who has taken in Stacy...

When a female attorney is murdered by a shotgun-wielding killer, the third woman attorney to be killed in similar such fashion, Hooker, Stacy and Corrigan search out the killer - who is actually a man whos become embittered after his girlfriend was deemed mentally unstable and dropped from attorney school...

A friendly LCPD baseball game is interupted by a shooting, when a passing man, out for a walk with his daughter, is shot in an attempted execution. The wounded man is none other than Russ Paterno, a retired mobster who is now an informant and has been helping the F.B.I. With the valuable information Paterno continues provide them, the Feds are eager to keep him alive, and ask Hooker make sure no harm comes to him. Behind the shooting, and several similar executions, is a militant, right-wing paramilitary group called P.F.A.D.W. - ""People For A Decent World"", whos maniacal leader is determined to wipe out any and every individual he sees as responsible for bringing the world down...

In the conclusion of this feature-length / two-part story, with Howie Kalanuma murdered, Hooker becomes even more determined to find the gang behind the threats on Senator Grayle and his wife...

After Corrigan drops Detective OBriens niece Jennifer off at a jewellery store to buy a gift for her uncles 25th anniversary in the force, the store is hit by a pair of armed robbers, and in the robbery Jennifer is gunned down. With the only lead being the hi-tech gun used by one of the thieves, Corrigan feels responsible for Jennifers death, and the investigation is hampered by a television news reporter eager for a story. Meanwhile, one of the murderous robbers gets a taste for the fame that the shooting brings him, and plans to make a play for the determined reporter...
