Bittori is visited by her son Xabier and daughter Nerea, who come bearing surprising news. Meanwhile, though their parents no longer speak, an encounter at the hospital reunites Xabier with Miren and Joxians daughter Arantxa, providing him an opportunity to return something special from their childhood--and further piquing Mirens suspicions as a result.

While local resentment towards Txato reaches a fever pitch, Joxe Maris shadowy ETA superiors enlist him to execute a series of hits. Later, news of Txatos murder breaks, and a devasted Bittoris grief deepens as shes warned against having his funeral in town, while Joxian grapples with the death of his friend from a distance.

The hunt for Joxe Mari intensifies when he and fellow Oria command members are placed on the Most Wanted Terrorist list. After fulfilling her final promise to Txato, Nerea makes a monumental decision about her future. While Bittori meets with another member of Mirens family in secret, her children have a private meeting of their own.

Bittori finally receives a letter from Joxe Mari. She walked to the cemetery to tell the content of the letter to her husband, she comes to her memory the last day the family spent together in Zaragoza, unaware that tragedy awaited her return.
