When former child soldier Baba rescues Freddy from a sexual assault, something dark is ignited in them. The pairs lust for each other takes over and creates a truly deadly duo. DS Lola Franks and DI Jackson Mendy get thrown together to investigate the murder of the pairs first victim.

Freddy and Baba flee the city with victim number three in the boot of the car, while Jackson and Lola, often at odds about the best way to catch a killer, make an important breakthrough over a cup of green tea.
