Emily learns that Les Vegas is alive and well, and has faked his own death for a hefty life insurance payout. Whats worse, she finds herself handcuffed to her father and hiding from police and recent love-interest Nathan, who are pounding down the door and investigating a disturbance. Narrowly escaping uncovering her fathers secret, and now an unwilling accomplice to his crime, Emily must now attend his beachside memorial - an event that proves irresistible to Les, who attends in disguise.

After waking up on a deserted beach, Emily and Les arrive home to find her estranged mother, cruise ship entertainer Donna Vegas, standing in the lounge. Emily must decide if she can trust her mum with their secret or if she is just here for the money.

Donna prepares for her big performance at the Swallows B&B grand re-opening. Emily decides to go back to her life in London and Les receives some bad news about his life insurance application.
